Sand DOES get past plastic pants....
LOL. That's awesome! Something you don't consider until you find out the hard way!
Since going 24/7, we have largely avoided the beach, other than an occasional walk while on vacation. At some point, I'm going to have to suck it up and spend a day at the beach though.
A couple embarrassing moments for me: I was telling a friend about my situation in his office. He wanted me to help him out part-time and I felt he needed to understand that I may have to step away at times to deal with things. He was very understanding. As I was leaving his office, I flooded my diaper which resulted in a huge growing wet spot down my leg! His eyes looked down and I could see the empathy in his face. Nothing more was said about it.
Another time, before I retired from the fire department, I was prepping for surgery on my bladder. Rather than go in and have an EKG run at the hospital, I was allowed to have one of the medics at the department do it. I lifted my shirt up so she could attach the electrodes and there in full view were the wings of my diaper, sticking out of my pants! Duh!
One of the worst, however, was also at the station. I had gone to the restroom to change and must not have gotten the lock secure. Just as I was taping up the new diaper, one of the firefighters opened the door, not 3 feet away from me! He quickly shut the door. I pulled him aside later and asked him to be discrete about it. As far as I know, he never said anything to anyone.
