What causes your incontinece? Have the doctors given you a definitive diagnosis?
Due put things off and not having good experiences with doctors when I was younger I have should of ignored my problem; I just assume that my bed wetting was natural and so just have protected myself and that routine is fine by me. In fact I have better nights sleep because of it.
Until recently the daytime wetting has been rare a couple of week a couple of times a year and completely linked to Anxiety. So I havent been to the doctors about it. I start start the process about 10 years back and wanted to get something sorted. I could to speak to someone and got scared/nervous/anxious and defaulted to standard habits.
About a month ago it was suggested to me to look into Aspergers and boy did I fit it like a glove. Since then I have been getting that formally diagnosed in fact I had an appointment today and should hopefully get a referral in the next week or two. Once I get a handle on it and I will mention the wetting when I am confortable enough. If my heart isnt in it, there is no point in trying. But I do have a plan.
Reason for wetting:
Daytime: - STRESS/ANXIETY
Nighttime: I simplily sleep very deeply and nothing wakes me up until morning. Now I have kids I wake up with them.

I can definetly relate to being "in the zone" and not being able to focus on more that one thing at a time...im easily distractible. I have ADHD along iwht the PDD..I'm not sure i understand your question about linking...
Erm... the description on the web say your condition was on the spectum but didnt indicate a specific direction. So I was wondering which direction you associate with. Sorry this is very very new to me. And working out how it is effecting my life is hard.

for me, my incontinence, according to my most recent urologist, is neurgeninc bladder of the underactive variety which means not only do i have to wear protection, i have to cath 4 times a day to avoid retention (though i will admit lately im slacking off due to not having the proper means to prep my hydrophilc catheters, and them just not being comfortable witout water)
I know what you mean about what you should do and what you do do. Like at the moment, I have run low on funds, forgot to buy diapers and now doubling on thinner ones I have until I get more. But I have pushed this off for two days. Argh! So much to do, so like time.

Are you able to make it to the toilet some of the time and thus maintain some level of control? I am able to. Yes, it seems that when one weard diapers, what's the point in using the toilet? Well, using hte toilet when you can cuts down on wet diapers and avoids skin breakdowon, or at least staves it off. I definetly recommend upping your protection. Do you have a rough idea of how much you void at a time? Do you have several small voids or one big flood? See, if you have several small voids it is important to choose a diaper that has more emphasis on overall capacity versus acquisiton speed... I don't think you can get them in the Uk, but there are diapers called Dry 24/7 that have a 90 oz capacity.
Nighttime:No control, totally relaxed, wet every morning.
Home before work:Totally relaxed and can make it most of the time. have about 15-20 minutes notice before accident. No protection really needed although training pants for the occasional dribble may be an idea.
Leaving Home / Work / Coming Home:My control lessens during work hours. About 1-5 minutes notice. I probably pee most of the time every 15 minutes of so and little wee but not constant dribble. About 25% of the time at work I have more control (like normal and I retain more urine). Then on these occasion an urgent need will say goto the toilet with about 3 minutes before accident. Accident would be spurts lots. So techically every time I could make it to the loo but would be going at least every 30 mins.
If I concetrate on a task then probably the same voided but little or no warning.
After work:Totally relaxed and can make it most of the time. have about 15-20 minutes notice before accident.

Is your incon like mine, where you don't get an idea your'e full until its too late, and then the floodgates open? In that case, youd want a diaper that has not only a high capacity, but also a high acquisiton rate. Abena has decent capacity as well as a fairly good acquisition rate, while molicare has one of the best acquisiton rates, but sacrifices some capacity. I hope this helps. I recommend in the meantime wearing plastic pants if you can over your diaepr, or at least wear underwear over them. That shouild help contain the leaks.
I am very happy with my Pad choices and know which ones to use. Plastic Pants are a must until I can get some fixation waterproof pants and some liners.
