Well, youre right in a sense, Papa.. but, really, despite diaper wear being convinent for traffic cops and the faithful lining up to see the pope.. the fact remains.. that it would only be convinenent for no 1 and not 2.. because, as we all know, fecal matter is quite abrasive to the skin and requires immediate clean up and changing.. I can't imagine that telling the officers to use them for all funcitons would be a good idea.. you'd wind up having an outbreak of cops with sore red bottoms.. not to mention the fact that no diaper on the face of this earth would hold an entire 24 hour's worth of urine.. youd have to stop to change sometime, or risk leaking or a major rash.. not to mention no one would want to be around you.. i suppose the point is the artice didn't specify how long they would go without changing.. all that being said, sure, i can see this being acceptable as use of a diaper.. after all.. NASA requires it of their astronauts.. but then agian..the g-forces of liftoff actuall casues the bladder to empty... neccesitating containment..
While there is a convenience factor, it must be balanced with concern for hygine and odor.. I know i wouldn't want to be in a wet diaper for 8 hours..but thats just me..
Seriously, I hope the Manila PD is conscious of taking hygine precautions..rash cream wipes.. etc..
Peace out!
Rob
