Hello,
I'm a new member to this board and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I had just started to post and share some of my experiences at another site when the changes they made to their forum turned me away and persuaded me to look for other alternatives. I'm very happy to have found this board. It looks like several of the posters from "that other site" are here as well as I recognize several of the user names.

At any rate, I've reached the point in my own developmental process where sharing my condition and my experiences with others has become extremely important and the anxiety/worry of people finding out my deep dark secret is beginning to fade. Not that I'm planning on getting a tattoo on my forehead that reads "I'm in incontinent! Wh-hoo!" , but I've recently shared my condition with my boss and a co-worker who's a good friend and these were both entirely positive experiences. I finally feel like I'm starting to come out of my shell and allowing me to not make such a big deal over this condition.

So, "Hi there!" and I look forward to interacting with the board.

Welcome aboard CJinNM, nice that you figured out that there are alternatives to "that other site"...lol a few have made the switch, sure there will be more in the future. Good to hear that you are getting to the point where you are not so paranoid that people will find out "about your secret", it takes alot of stress off of your shoulders when you can inform them, and it is no longer a must hide issue. Wow! I must be living under a rock because I have no clue what other site people are talking about. I've been here for a couple of years now & only am aware of that site where they seem to enjoy their chosen undergarments but have seen no others. Either way it's nice to see people coming over here to share & vent!

Count me in here too. I was RMS401 there, but hey, times change.

"That other site" really did a disservice to themselves and their members with what may go down in history as the worst redesign ever. Really. Horrible. I have no intention of going back there even if they undo everything they did. They still wiped out a LOT of my posts and killed a whole profile.

I am not sure how much of my past postings are gone but one I know is gone it the book review I did for Lori that she gave away. I was going to use the review to highlight some stuff to talk about with my new support group but could not find it. I emailed Lori to see if she could find it and it was lost to her too.

The only thing I will really miss is the section on the Real Stories. I like the idea and potential the stories had to really help people not feel so alone with this. I was slated to have one done about me and my situation but when the film crew called me to line up a time to come down, it really hit me that this was for real and I got scared and backed out. For now we settled on one of the written stories which it already posted there. It should not be hard to tell which one is mine.

Anyways, I will miss the old forum because it helped me through maybe the worse and most stressful part of my life. Oh, and speaking of stress, if anyone ever wonders if stress causes gray hair, Let me testify that without a shadow of a doubt it does.

It really felt like a blow when the "worst redesign in history" (to which I totally agree) made that site totally unusable. I was just starting to open up to people both in person and on-line and then I felt like I took 20 steps backward again when every thing changed and posts/threads disappeared. I was riding the coat tails of the bravery I was seeing in others and even though I only sent out a few posts, it was starting to help and then BOOM!

But hey, if that hadn't happened, I may not have wound up here so maybe this will wind up being a good thing after all. With such a nice welcome, it already feels like it's a positive outcome.
