I'd like to comment on your good points about using the brief, or trying to make it to the bathroom and the "lazy" lable.

But I think it belongs out in the "How do you manage your incon" category so I am going there!

Sounds like one of these days you'll try cloth diapers. I wear both pull-ups and pin on diapers. The loving comfort diapers are a little hard to pin since they are so thick. Velcro would work better. The pull-ups I use can have added small baby diapers to add more protection. I just hate using disposables at night. Like I've told you before, laundry is not bad at all once you've started. Good luck trying to find some on line. It may be hard, though. You need to stick with a quality diaper to be effective. ........Paul

I was looking on Ebay and found a few some are terry cloth others are birds eye what ever that is? some were a combination of two or three types of cloth. Some with a plastic cover some without. I'm thinking maybe the Velcro ones are the way to go? But then maybe the pullup ones would be good also. I thought with the Velcro they would be more adjustable. or maybe that's not a big deal. Then what color do I get is it better to get colors that match what your wearing. or does it really matter because I'll have to wear plastic pants according to you guys. But I was reading on EBay that some already have the water proof backing outside. I guess maybe I should be more concerned about the color of the plastic pants then the brief. But if I'm wearing the kind with the plastic on them do I really need the plastic pants are they that likely to leak. My husband is standing here reading this and laughing he says to ask if any one has lacy pants or ones with ruffles I may as well look sexy if I'm going threw all this he says He's still giggling in the other room now. He gets excited if I wear the one pair of light colored jeans I own. Can't say for sure if I want to get the sexy pants it may kill him He said I should just stay with disposables before I get a headache One other thing I noticed the Pervert crowd sure seems to get off on the plastic pants and cloth diapers better then 1/2 the stuff on EBay is titled Adult Baby. So then in the back of my mind I feel like I maybe I'm playing into them somehow. As for terrycloth and birdseye...for crying out loud! You are on the one site in all of Internetdom that has a real Diaper Primer, that my partner in Canada and myself worked our poor fingers to bone, typing it, and no one reads it! LOL!

Seriously, take a moment if you can to peruse the Primer. The chapter on diaper types will fill you in on gauze, terry, birdseye and flannel-the major players.

I'll say again, what I posted just up a bit, try the pull on diaper from Loving Comfort-maybe contact them re size. And Babykins-my suggestions for plastic pants does include lace ruffles to drive the husband crazy!

JoeK is correct on going thru their primer. It has a world of information on cloth diapers. Don't worry about those adult babies. More than half of real incontinent folks use cloth diapers.
Here's my suggestion on my experience using cloth diapers. I've been in them for 4 years now. I would stay away from the "all-in-one" diapers. The diapers that already have the plastic pants have to be washed in the washer after every diaper change. The plastic pants will break down quickly forcing you to throw them out. I like the pull up diapers during the day on weekends while I'm home. I use the pin-on diaper and velcro at night. The diapers that Loving Comfort sells that are pin-on/velcro have a flannel outer layer with terry cloth inside. My only problem with them is they are hard to pin on. The velcro would work better on those type diapers.
My favorite pin-on diaper is the flat gauze diaper that Adult Cloth Diaper sells. Gauze is very absorbant, very soft after several washings, and comfortable to wear. Easy to wash and dry.
I have bought some of the heavy pull-up diapers that Loving Comfort sells. I add baby diaper inserts for added protection. They're not cheap, though. I've also had some problems contactong them lately. I went to another source to buy these when I could not get them to answer my e-mails or phone calls. That was several months ago, though.
I always buy just plain white diapers. They have several prints out there. I had one supplier substitute a print for a white velcro diaper. My wife didn't like it at all. Se thinks they are too juvenile. I guess so, but they do look cute. I think women would have more fun with them than men. But I believe lots of males wear these too.

Hi all
I was gone for the last three days sure feels good to get away for a few days. Anyways I was going to state last week that I had looked at the primer. But there so much information it's hard to take it all in. I think you guys are right about the Velcro or pull-ups. The pin on ones look like allot of work. I'm having a hard time justifying buying or should I say spending that much money on something I'm not sure I will like anyway. Call me lazy but I still hate the thought of dealing with that laundry. I've seen a few better deals on Ebay but you guys state you have to be careful on what you buy. So I've been hesitant on buying them.

Sounds like you're on the edge, but are afraid to jump! I believe what's going to convience you to try cloth diapers is this question. Will the comfort of a cloth diaper along with the reassurance of no leaks justify the hassle of washing them? To me, that's a no-brainer. It may be more important to a male than a female. I still have read that there are plenty of women who choose cloth over disposables. Lots of women do, but not many post on these forums.
I would suggest this. If you still have the frilly pair of plastic panties your husband got you, go ahead and try to find the best deal on e-bay for a diaper. Give it a try for a few nights. See what you think. I believe the primer has a section of how to do the laundry for cloth diaper wearers. As for me personally, I wash every night. Some people wash every other day to once a week. I prefer to wash before the clorine smell starts.

Your really a sweet guy Paul. Your right I'm on the edge. but at the same time I'm not really that disappointed with disposables I don't have the problems at night as most others do. More then likely because I'm not a side sleeper. Granted I have not worn cloth so I don't have anything to compare it to. Thanks to you guys talking about Plastic pants and cloth my husband keeps kidding me about what color and type plastic pants I should get Love you guys!..................Sandy

I ordered 3 pairs of the APD3 pullups from loving comfort I didn't get any liners should I have? I ordered a pair of the AWP-P Plastic pants also. Then I found some pink lace plastic pants at llmedico So I got a pair of those coming as well. Boy it's not hard to blow a chunk of change in a hurry buying these things. I just got a case of Attends last week for $27.00 includes shipping. 72 diapers for less then the cost of one reusable OUCH I'm counting on you guys these better be as good as you say.........Sandy
