So I have a question and herd mixed reviews of both of these diapers. So here is my problem I have been getting my diapers from the VA when I first started getting them I was offered Kendall Wings, Depends, or Attends. I know the wings suck from before and going to date my self but last time I tried depends they were green and kind of sucked at the time. So I choose the Attends and found in order to have some kind of life I have to wear 2 of them at a time and get about 4-5 hours out of them but not only have they given me a rash but also think I am having an interaction with the material. I have an appt next week and going to put in for better diapers but it is a process where it may take a bit for them to get approved. So I was thinking of switching to the depends till I get the better diapers but haven't used them a friend said they work ok I was just wondering what everyones though were. I have never had an issue with plastic type covers but seem to have one with some cloth type ones and only get diaper rashes very rarely. Thank you for any help

Well, I have not used Attends for over 10 years since I bought a bag, and they were marginal to Depends, both are sub-par in levels of absorbancy for adults. I have only bought Depends for short term use, maybe 2 hours, and that was only because they were on sale along with a $2.00 off coupon, too cheap to pass up...Without a liner or booster, I would go with Attends, but others may say the opposite... Talk to Don or Johnstone about the VA, I know they get Abena's through the VA, they may be able to assist you in getting something far better they what they are offering you... :) Puffy

Ya I have talked to both and in the process of trying to get them but I can't stand the rashes and irritaion from the attends and already wearing 2 diapers at a time so if depends are subpar diapers it doesn't matter I can wear 2 of them at one time I just need something to hold me over till I can get quality diapers approved. I just know I am not going back to wings so it is my only choice I guess. Thank you for your reply.

Depends are only good if you use a booster pad. By themselves they will leaks with little more than a trickle of pee. Try asking for Molicare. They are much better in almost every way.

It will be much easier if you were to pick a diaper from the VA formulary list. Molicare super plus is on the formulary. Abena are not. Dry 24/7 are not. I use Molicare daily and they work very well for bladder and bowel issues. They are also quiet and very comfortable. They last me several hours and hold alot of urine. I am pleased with them. And the VA has easy access to them. Just a suggestion.
