Currently using depends underwear for men super but the leg guards hurt my inner leg as well as keep moisture next to the skin as well as get rashes a lot.

I have an issue with Urinary Incontinence and Excessive sweating in the groin area due to Spinal Cord injury.

I am an active person as well as need something discrete. (I like to wear shorts as well as jeans if that helps.)

Thank you very much

Tom23--

It sounds like you need something more absorbent.

There are lots of sites that will send you samples and that is how I have tried new brands, styles, etc. Try dmes.com or continenceconnection.com. Even abuniverse.com has a 12 pack. Dmes.com has mostly Tena products. You can also call continenceconnection and they will work with you over the phone. Some of these briefs will probably not be what you are looking for, but may be worth a try. Being discreet is a challenge for everyone, but also depends on you--your size, your frame, the type of clothes you wear.

I am very active, and have worn thicker diapers to work and no one has noticed. And with the people I work with if someone noticed everyone would know! So that is where I would start.

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk further.

the truth is incontinence is a pain
disposable are fine but you never know when its overloaded till its to late aka leaks
cloth will let you know when its saturated
change offen an you will be fine an what ever you use will work fine
cathers for active people are a no no ouch to the nineth dergee
rashes are caused by amona in the urine so if you know your wet change

Look in the Primer. It has good stuff on what clothes to wear and what not to wear. As for me, I can tell you from experience that I wear Abena Extra and XPlus diapers 24/7. I have no choice. I wear them for complete incontinence of bladder and bowel. For clothing, I wear shorts, jeans, khaki's, and dress pants. I wear dockers and suit style pants. NOBODY has ever noticed or said anything to me about what I wear. I regularly attend church and when I'm not in school, I work. I have never had anyone notice that I was wearing a diaper. My wife would tell me if she could tell. If I am concerned about my attire, I ask my wife. I regularly dress up to go out with my wife. So what I'm trying to say is, just relax and wear what you need to wear. Nobody can tell. If they can't tell I'm wearing an XPlus under suit pants, then they won't be able to tell you have on a pullup or low capacity brief under shorts. Its that simple. Just take care of your incontinence and don't let it run your life.

Tom 23,
I would suggest staying with a pull on for the discreteness and for the best absorbancy try the Abena (www.xpmedical.com) "underwear" which is called Abri-flex; you will find it in the underwear or pull on section of the site. I think they offer the best absorbancy of any pull on diaper and the elastic waist seems sturdier than most for a comfortable fit that actually stays up until you get it really wet and heavy.

If you need a tape on diaper to do the job, try the Abena Air Plus for what ever breathability it may provide. Cloth like outer covering can be good for some folks and abrasive for others...depends on your skin sensitivity.

I agree with JoeK. The Abena pullups work for me. Not only are they more absorbent than the Depends, they're much more comfortable. There's so much more to comfort than wetness. Depends feel like cardboard and that, rather than ammonia in the urine, may be causing your rash problems. Also if you stay well hydrated you may wet a bit more but it will be less irritating to your skin and the smell is less.

I get mine online at XP Medical, no shipping for a case. $99.99 for a case of 84.

After you figure out what works well for you try the keep fill ordering system with XP Medical. That's what I do & I am sure to never run out. I've also timed it so I always have an extra case in the event of backorder. (which has never happened to me but I would rather be sure)

Just tried the Tena Pants (pullup)sample while they held and absorber more then the depend I still had the same issue of the padding moving as well as keep slipping down like the depend and kept rubbing the skin the areawhere my groin and my inner thigh meets.
Is this the usual with pullup types?

Also I have sensitive skin

Also I dont feel I viod all that much most days but it adds up at the end of the day occassionally almost a cup full thou

I take it you aren't wearing a snug fitting pair of Brief style underwear over your pull up :?:
