I just wanted to publicly say that getting more active on the forum has been a great thing for me. I have lived the past several years lurking on this and other forums like I was guilty of some terrible crime, and too scared to participate first-hand. Last night, due to friendships made here once I became directly involved, I was finally able to understand a few things about diapers and incontinence which allowed me to shed some anxieties in my life (and I would like to particularly thank Puffy Pants for his experience and insightful comments).

I would encourage anyone who is on the outside looking in, scared of being "discovered" and yet desperate for friendship, understanding, or information to jump in and be proactive about their situation. It is much more empowering.

Thanks again to everyone here. I will do my best to put back into this community because of what it has given me.

Certainly was a pleasure to chat with you inconguy, it alwasy helps to have another ear that can give advice on a problem, and know where and what you are talking about and dealing with... :D  Puffy

Thank you for your great post, inconguy!

You've brought up a point that many of us "old tymers" miss..... how difficult it can be for a newbie to step up and post. I do feel that our membership here is very receptive as well as responsive to posts and no one should feel bashful to post a question. I like to think we put forth a "welcoming" feeling and image so that anyone, especially new folks, will feel comfortable posting a message. After all, the subject of having to wear diapers as an adult is extremely difficult for most to talk about..... but it does help to talk about it and if one feels welcomed and comfortable discussing diapers here, well then we are accomplishing what we are here for....mutual support.

I think your message might just encourage some others to jump in and get involved and learn and gain from the experience!
