Hello Everyone
I know that this is off topic and im sorry but I just need a place to chat.

A few days ago my dad found out that he has liver cancer real bad. They said that its over 6" long and wide.
The Dr said the "text book" said that they give him 6 months to live but its real bad and they dont know for sure just how much longer he has here on Earth.
I think the Dr thinks that it may not be that long. They have allready contacted the people with hospice and got that part started. Hopefully the wonderfull people with hospice wont need to do much for a while. My dad is 86yo.
:( :( :( :( :(

Sorry to hear that schoppy. My dad was lost to cancer last year. His doctor gave him 6 months to live and he survived for another 2 years. Hopefully you dad will get more time to be with you. I hope he doesn't have much pain as the cancer progresses.

Doug

On the other side of the coin... at 86 he's lived a long full life. If this is the end let's hope it can be as pain free as possible.

My very best to you and the family, Schoppy! Cancer is such a sad fact of life for so many.....I lost my dad many years ago to lung cancer; yes he smoked, and it did inspire me to quit smoking. I will keep your dad in my prayers that he does not suffer; none of us deserve to suffer when we reach the inevitable end of the journey here on earth!

Sorry to hear about the cancer! My parents died of natural causes in their 90's.
My wife's parents died in the late 60's/70's, he of age and complications, she of liver/pancreatic cancer.
Now my wife has been tentatively diagnosed as "non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver" and pancreas problems. Still haven't ruled out cancer in either of the organs, going in on Friday 11/18/11 to do endoscopy and colonoscopy to further check. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst!
