You are right on, Rocketman!
Most of us struggle with the downside of wearing diapers. For most there is such an aversion to the (repulsive) idea that you wet yourself that wearing a diaper does little to take away the aversion and adds the humiliation factor of wearing a diaper even when you accept that it is necessary to avoid wet pants and furniture while out and about.
I've been around a while and have seen a recurring thread where a positive spin gets put on diaper wear on boards like this one. And it's good to repeat the thread periodically, it well can bolster someone's flagging spirits by pointing out the obvious and sometimes not so obvious benefits of wearing diapers.
You bring out two recent examples from your life, Rocketman, while the recurring theme often includes movies, sporting events, theater, all things that involve sitting in one place for long periods of time while often consuming beverages, which for most, involve treking to a distant and sometimes less than clean rest room, while missing some of the action of the event being attended.
Cloth diaper wearers like to point out the comfort of wearing a padded seat so it is always there when needed for sitting on hard bleachers at the ball game.
I think it is all too easy to be down on ourselves and unhappy wearing diapers and take the "woe is me" approach with life handing us a bad break. But counting our blessings, as there are always people worse off than ourselves, if we can be normal and enjoy life by simply putting on a diaper, than wearing diapers is indeed a positive thing and there is nothing wrong with "enjoying" the benefits of not having to seek out a toilet in public, where I feel toilets (especially clean ones) are clearly an endangered species!
