Hi Sandy,
Thanks for asking! First let me remind everyone that we can gripe about a lot of things including a need thrust upon us to wear diapers, but we also can easily find many things for which to be thankful and I do hope most folks here gave thanks for the blessings we do have!

I had it easy! I didn't have to lift a finger and went with my lady friend to relatives of hers and enjoyed a wonderful day and fabulous feast. I keep my incon private so no one knew (other than my lady friend) that I was diapered. I wore a proven set of cloth diapers and enjoyed relaxing on the couch with my honey and then the great diner in the dining room with upholstered chairs and relaxing after dinner....all with no worries.

So while the turkey was moist and juicy, everything I sat on remained nice and dry! And I could relax and enjoy myself because I had confindence in my protection, which we gain from experience.

I think this is a good time for me to stress what I've said in the past: wearing diapers for us is normal....because diapers allow us to be normal since we can sit on the sofa and not leave a wet spot....just like all the rest of the "normal" people out there!

Hi Sandy,

How was your Thanksgiving?

Mine was fine. We broke with tradition and went out to eat at the Golden Corral which is a chain in our area. Considering that we have a teenager in our home it was well worth the money. We also had a lot of fun.

Once we got home, we waited for an hour or so, then went to my Mother In law's home. That was a bit stressful for all of us because of the way relationships have changed over the years. We had a short but pleasant visit and ate a bit before leaving.

Once we came home, we all took lots of down time.

I admit to having been concerned about the possible to change myself white at my Mother In Law's house. It turned out that there was no need to do so.

Norma

Hi Norma
Glad to see your post. We had Thanksgiving at Jane's mothers house. Had a nice time. We got to meet a few of Jane's relitives. It seems they knew all about us? Appears Jane's mom has spoken a fair amount about us with the relatives. One of Jane's ants was talking to me later in the evening and came out and said so your incontinent  I understand you helped Jane with her condition she said:oops: I was a little set back?? I said well? ya yes jane and I do share the same condition  So now I'm wondering how many others knew of my condition. Well she asked a few questions about incontinence and so on. And then I had to go and talk to someone else not sure who but someone  I asked Jane about her ant. She told me she's a little different  I said yes she is! I told her what happen. Jane said OH BOY  ..............................Sandy :)

Sandy,
My Thanksgiving was especially special since our son, who just started his new job as an Air Traffic Controller, drove up from Dallas to spend time with us. Good to see him and see how much he's matured while away.
I hope all members had a special Thanksgiving!
Here comes Christmas, now!! .................Paul Martin

Did I mention that I hate the holidays? Everything has become so commercialized that people forget what these times are really supposed to be about.

But anyways... we always spend the majority of our Thanksgiving in the car. My family lives about 50 miles from us, and her's are scattered in a county about 100 miles out... so we drive from place to place, spending an hour or two with each group.

It is a sad holiday season this time around. Both her grandfather and aunt are in very poor health and probably won't see another year, so we are trying to spend as much time with them as possible.

As far as traveling with the condition goes... I follow the old Scout motto of "Be Prepared." I put on a thick disposable and bring plenty of spare diapers and a change of pants just in case. Her immediate family knows about it... but nobody else does, and I'd like to keep it that way. Thankfully I haven't run into any problems.

My thanksgiving was smashing.. got to go to two people's houses, my grandma's and my cousin's. And I am extremely thankful..both for what appears to be a total resolution of my incontinence troubles, and not getting a ticket on tuesday! Yes, i confess, i was going a little fast on my way to college on Tuseday, but somehow i got out of a ticket. The emotional trauma of being pulled over put a damper on things, but i still enjoyed myself nonetheless.

As for my incontinence..it appears to be nonexistent. I still wear protection in public to be on the safe side, and will continue to do so for a while, but at home i actually wear underwear! Such a great feeling. I guess it turns out my whole problem stemmed from inadequate relaxiton of the pelvic floor while urinating, and the sudden urges could be explained by diminished sensation of bladder fullness for whatever reason. Well, i make it a point to go every few hours whetehr i feel the need or not, and im dry as a bone. :-D. There are some dribbles here and there..but no FLOODS. I have no explanation other than my incontinence was a result of possibly a combination of emotional stress, pelvic floor problems, and medication. So, if your incotnience is non-neurogenic, all may not be lost. There may be help available! And whats really good is that this doesnt require me taking any drugs :). If things keep up, i might end up canceling my shipments from J&B medical... that would be grand.
