Well, things have definitely turned a corner. I used to be able to go to bed diaperless and not worry about getting the bed wet, because my situation was such that I wouldnt get spasms or a full bladder that was urgent until morning. No more. Increased hydration is causing night wetting as well. I was half asleep wearing a Northshore Supreme, and I just..let go. I leaked. I immediately ordered 8 T-8 flannel diapers from angel fluff. I feel resigned to the situation, and dont know if there is anything I can do. Every treatment you name i've tried it. I did see something on FB that had some promise, but I just need to be consistent with it. I dont want increased hydration to mean total and complete diaper dependence, but its looking more and more like that every day :(

Perhaps a visit to a urologist is in order.

What say you all? Do you find adequate hydration puts you in a situation where your control diminishes rapidly?

Peace out!

Rob

Being U-IC (OAB), I am always urging through the night, at least once but sometimes more. If my bladder didn't fill overnight, I could make it to morning dry. But even when I do make it dry, i then lose control sitting up or standing out of bed due to OAB.

Being old, filling my bladder overnight is normal. It's not normal for younger folk and thus I would suspect your hydration level.

Rob,

Our bodies and circumstances change frequently. A hot sunny day in July will diminish urine leakage, while a cool autumn day will increase it. Flexibility is key to management. Overnight leakage can be challenging. Wear the heaviest, most absorbent protection in your inventory so you can drink enough to avoid dehydration. Good luck and report back when you can.

I did it again. :( This time i was dreaming and just let go.
I'm not sure if I was on my back or on my side but I leaked. I was wearing a mega Max. I need to start wearing doubled flannel to bed. But I only have a few of them. If I where disposables, I need to wear Protech and flannel over top. There's a giant wet spot on my side of the bed so I can't go back to bed and I don't want to wake up my wife. I hate this a lot. I never used to have this happen to me. I don't know what to do other than see a urologist. I don't know what they can do for me though.

If you can manage it, it is best to keep yourself pointed down and lie on your back- at least that works for me. But I am old, diabetic and have ED, so that works for me.
