Well, I reneged on my no disposables vow, because I felt that washing laundry was getting to be a burden, and I bought the diapers on a Paypal plan so I didn't have to pay a lot up front. I will be resuming cloth use in the fall when its not too hot. Wearing a cloth diaper in this summer heat while pushing carts is just asking for trouble. I need options that cool me down, not heat me up. I'm donating most of my pocket diapers to Goodwill, as they are hardly ever used. The ones I'm not are my Ecoable 2.0 pockets which can be used for diaper covers for my Ecoable fitteds. I don't care for the pocket design on Incontrol, or on the Carerspk pockets, so away they go. With my annual suprise inspection for my apartment forthcoming, I need to get rid of what I don't use so I can effectively organize what I do use.

Kidney stones have reared their ugly head. I have an appointment with the urologist tomorrow to discuss surgical options. In the meantime, I am taking Flomax and ibuprofen and norco if the pain gets really bad. I went to the ER 3 times within 2 weeks for the pain. The last time they couldnt find an IV easily and left me with a bruise. It's still there.

As far as episodes go, it varies. Usually once a day, which is par for the course. Once in a while my bladder goes nuts and i have multiple episodes. On days like that, I take solace in MegaMax. May be overkill but I can proably get through an entire shift on one diaper.

Anyway,

Peace out!

Rob

Oh no. :( I'm sorry. Supposedly kidney stone pain is literally the worst pain that any person can experience. I hope it is a lot better very soon.

Is there any feeling that it wouldn't have happened if you weren't starving yourself of water because of the incontinence? Do you think you've been starving yourself of water with the intent that you'll go through fewer diapers that way? Or, not really?

Hi!

Well, my lack of water in take could be a factor, since I am notorious for not hydrating. But I have not been going without fluids at work. I work in the summer heat outside and I am constantly hydrating just to stop from overheating and losing water. Whether the water intake is enough is an open question. I do drink Java Monster on rare occasions, usually opting for coffee or Alive(a drink made from aptogenic mushrooms) for my caffeine sources. Gatorade is also a go to, to stay hydrated and add much needed carbs. I recently figured out that I can't cut out the energy bars and gatorade and still have the energy to do my job. I have peanut butter sandwiches at work as a cost saving measure, but I need more. I was chewed out along with the other cart pushers by the boss for not getting the lot done the other day due to lack of energy. Part of it was the heat, part of it was disappointment from not getting called yet for a job I applied for, and part of it was lack of caffeine.

Hey Rob good to hear from you! Sorry you’re dealing with kidney stones. Ouch! What did the urologist say?

I was wondering how you were getting along with the cloth diapers. Laundry was a big factor for me.

Hope you’re doing well otherwise

I've been there multiple times with kidney stones, so you have my full sympathy. Hopefully you get helpful treatment with the stones and end your affliction.
