I'm glad I found this forum though because it'll be nice to talk to people who know how irritating it is to not be able to get in a hot tub or pool, go to a gym, trying to find a more private bathroom at my college to change in, diapers still leaking at night and having your boyfriend waking up to be in a puddle, etc.
D1gt, welcome.. you are ceritanly not alone.. to the above, yes..we've been there and done that...myself included.. like you, im young and in college, leading an active life. My bladder hasnt totally given out on me, but it can get pretty wet down there sometimes.. so i have to wear diapers all the time too. You have discovered by trial and error what most of us have dealing with chronic incontinece... med's dont work, and diapers are really the easiest hassle- free way to deal with this. Believe me when i say acceptence and living with this gets easier over time. I am incontinenent due to peripheral neuropathy, and as of yet, have not been given hope of a effective treatment. My incontniece comes and goes in severity, but never going away completely. My last option my urologist has given me is InterStim therapy.
about leaking at night.. have you tried a disposable called abena abriform x-Plus? they are very absorbent and may solve your leak problem..
Hope you enjoy your stay here.. a lot of good people here..and very moderated too..
