Your right Sandy,.... nights here have been in the high 20's and low 30's. That would be a heat wave for you and many others in your part of the country. My thoughts are with all those with freezing temperatures and no power.......WOW :(

Unfortunately accidents and leakages do happen... at least you were able to improvise a (slightly) less embarassing solution for your friend. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the unpredictability of the whole thing... what is life without a little excitement?

Did you ever here of using Lamisil for diaper rash? Well Jane has been fighting a itchy rash on her back side. She went to a dermatologist last week and she prescribed a anti fungal ointment called Lamisil I think I spelled that right? Jane told me it was working really well for her. She said you can buy it over the counter. ......................Sandy :)

Sandy,
I have never used for diaper rash, I have used it on my feet before. I looked it up and here is what it was used for:
Lamisil is used to treat infections caused by fungus that affect the fingernails or toenails. Lamisil oral granules are used to treat a fungal infection of scalp hair follicles in children who are at least 4 years old.

Lamisil may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

So I guess her rash would fall under other-purposes. I find it amazing that once something comes out on the market and is advertised for one thing, that most of us think that that product is only good of that one purpose. If the product is used for some other reason, we tend to question it and don't always believe that it can be used for or in other ways.

Sorta like Diapers are for babies or people in nursing homes. Since that is what is drilled into our heads when we are little, it's hard for many to understand that normal people may have a real need to wear and use diapers even if they don't fit into the two categories that we have been taught.

I did a little research and found the following info on Lamisil cream;

Lamisil cream is applied to the skin to treat a wide range of fungal skin infections. Improvement in symptoms is usually seen after a few days of treatment, but the prescribed course should be finished to ensure the infection is completely cured and prevent it returning.

The next time I have a rash I will have to give this stuff a try. :wink:
