So, last night, I had an unnerving dream. Even though I'm in my early 50's, it was so high school. I was still living at home, with my parents. My older brother was too. In the dream, I woke up and the older brother, who knows nothing about my incontinence, had emptied my dresser of diapers and destroyed all of them. Dream? Sort of a nightmare. I woke up and immediately checked. Everything was still there.

Now to my question.

I dream often. Most people do. Every dream I have, I am diapered. I think that's weird. Dream could be about anything, unrelated. Riding bike, building a house, attending a social function, car accident, etc. ALWAYS!, I'm wearing a diaper. Overall, even though I've been dealing with this incontinence issue for about 5 1/2 years now, I sort of feel like the dreams suggest I've accepted it, since every dream, even though it's about ordinary, everyday life, I'm wearing a diaper. It's just strange, but like it's just second nature too.

But this morning, when I woke up, I was a little shaken.

Anybody else have recurring dreams, but in different situations, and always specifically in a diaper, as an adult doing everyday things?

Hi due north

Many years ago when I found out that I had Urge Incontinence I threw away all my old underwear to be replaced with my new underwear (diapers) to embrace my new 24/7 life. For many months I too had dreams of diapers being destroyed however they have all now gone and all my dreams are happily with me in diapers. I put the destruction dreams down to the whole acceptance process.

I have fully embraced the positive part diapers play in my life in allowing me to have a near normal life where I manage my incontinence rather than it manage me!

Dreams are hard to understand. Because of my urge urinary incontinence, I’ve been in overnight diapers for 60 years and in diapers 24/7 for over 30 years. However, insofar as I can remember, I’ve never had a dream about wearing diapers. It’s weird.

although i have been using urinary catheters for many years (spc) in my dreams i see myself actually peeing normally to some this can be rather problematic as it can go on to wetting the bed and i can still pass urine the normal way.

Yep, this is my (bedwetting) problem, but I'm never in a diaper, which makes sense since I'm trying to find a toilet to use normally. However one time I did dream I was out in public in only a diaper and a t-shirt but I wasn't looking for a toilet to use, after a while I realized I didn't have any pants on but it didn't seem to bother me, go figure!

I've read that dreams in which you have the same disability you have in real life are a sign of having accepted it, and that getting rid of dreams in which you're not disabled are important in coming to terms with it. A typical example is a blind person who was previously sighted dreaming of having sight, which often means they look forward to sleep rather than to something they might do in real life.

I’ve worn protection of one kind or another for nearly as long as I remember so dreaming about diapers doesn’t stand out specifically. What does stand out is dreaming about being embarrassed by being seen in a diaper or leaking in public. This probably follows a situation when someone may have made me uncomfortable by an unusual look, comment, or something.

I have a reoccurring nightmare that my wife outs me for being diapered at night. Circumstances of it differ, but that's the common theme. I always wake up ashamed and panicked. It's probably more about me working about betrayal from the person i trust most.

Although I cannot remember the content of any of my dreams, I am a busy sleeper; I toss and turn, throw sheets and covers around, and sometimes (rarely, thank God) walk in my sleep. If I did not wear full-on, maximum protection, my spouse and family would soon make me regret it.
