If one person says to me "have you thought about trying pull ups?" I'm gonna scream. Yes, I have tried pull ups. And unless I want wet pants (which defeats the purpose) they don't work. I know people are just trying to help but what they don't get is pull ups are good for light incontinence and that's pretty much it. And I have far from light incontinence. My doctors all agree I need taped diapers. Once I explain I think people get it. But so many people who have helped take care of me since surgery have said it.

I feel ya, I got that from the VA Urologist. Ugh, in theory he should know better.

Know the feeling get It from people when they first find out all the time. Gotta remember though they dont know what its like or how we have to manage it as they havent ever had to most likely. They dont realize the pull ups arent good enough to manage.

To pork chop I know the feeling there I deal with the VA for all my issues as well. But the urologists aren't taught about incontinenece products past "use catheters" so they really dont know. I have to go thru giving a mini class every 3-6 months when I inevitiably get a new urologist when I go in.

Andy0690: That stinks! I just have my issues monitored by my general doctor now, since the pills didn't work and I didn't want to risk surgery that caused me to become unable to have relations. Not when diapers work, ya know.
