Having attended the healthy bowel clinic about three weeks ago I am now going back to Aintree hospital to have the above mentioned test. They have sent me an information leaflet with the appointment so I know what to expect. I have had a suppositorie induced bowel movement this morning so am diapered up and should stay clean. I will have to lay down on my left side and I hope they will just lower my nappy down at the back while they insert the tube. I have a fresh supply in a bag on the back of my wheelchair. Am not looking forward to it but will let you know how I get on. My life at the moment is being taken over by unpredictable bowel movements and although contained in my pad it's very embarrassing if out or in company because it's so obvious what has happened also it can take some time to get me clean sometimes a shower is the only way. Thanks guys. All done and am back home. They were testing for three things and out of the three only one was normal that was the at ease relaxed pressure level. The other ones feeling when you need a poo and bearing down I failed big time. They inflated the balloon to the maximum and I still couldn't feel anything much. Will need to go back to discuss in more detail. I had to strip completely and put a gown on. Lay on my left side. Could not really feel what was going on but I peed all over the table thru my gown. Managed to get a fresh nappy on and get dressed. There are some afters now and a lot of wind. Thanks again guys. 4wheeldave.
