I guess I was lucky in that I sort of eased into the "diaper thing". I started out with thin shields, then guards, then pull-ups, then pull-ups with guards, and now full tape up diapers and I even add a guard pad or booster pad to that sometimes. That was all over a two and half year progression so by the time I got to regular tape-up diapers it really wasn't a big deal anymore. The thing is though that it really shouldn't be a big deal anyway, after all it's really just underwear with thicker padding. Sure it takes a bit of pre-planning that doesn't exist with "normal" underwear but after a short while it will all nearly be second nature. I have to say most of the time I don't give my "underwear" a second thought and it sure beats the heck out of the anxiety of wondering if today will be the day you have an embarrassing leak.

It is all good folks. I really miss the "boys" having fresh air on occasion though. It has been about a week now, And I have not went to diaper hell. Sleeping soundly is taking some getting used to. And I am wet more often simply because even when I can make it to the toilet... Well dropping everything in time is a challenge. Most of the time I just stand in front of the toilet and... well don't use it because I would be spraying all over since I already started. I expect that eventually I will get to the point where I say screw it, I can never make it anyways, why even try? But not quite yet.

Your wife is right. You want to know why I switched from pads to Tena Mens underwear? We got a new mattress, and even though I cleaned, and aired it out a few times, I thought I did a good job cleaning.
Then I saw it in the sunlight.
