So I spoke to the people at Comfycare.net and the news isn't good. They said it doesn't look good for them to continue carrying these. Apparently, Thrust Vector keeps jacking up the price. They said they ordered a "container" of them. Not sure if they really mean an entire shipping container or what as this was by email and the person's English was a little rough. Anyway, they said every container the price goes way up and the last shipment, Thrust Vector even tried to charge them an additional fee AFTER the shipment was completed.

So, I just ordered 180 diapers from them. I also see that these are available on Saveexpress.de. The shipping costs nearly as much as the diapers themselves, but if you order like 10 bags of them or more, the cost gets more and more efficient. Since these are only night time diapers for me, I just bought a 6 month supply on Comfycare and in 4 or 5 months, I'm going to seriously consider getting a year's worth from save express. That would be about 25 bags and with shipping would work out to around 1.65 per piece. Unfortunately that's a $700 cash outflow at once. That said, I'm spending over 600 as it is on night time diapers now (abena L4) and IMO, these are FAR superior so may very well be worth it.

Man, this is such an expensive condition to manage properly. After trying these though, I am having a hard time not sticking with them. They're the most confidence inspiring diaper I've ever tried.

I'm open to any suggestions you guys have on similar diapers available in the US. I've tried ConfiDry 24/7 and they just don't work for me. I think my body type just disagrees with the fit they provide and they tend to be quite leaky for me.

Try Northshore Supreme.

I have. They're not bad. But they're awful stiff, no elastic waistband. I think the're honestly very cheaply made but at premium prices. I think they'd be great if they refined them a bit.

I use the supreme lites for daytime use.

I've been using the Seni Super Plus for my primary daytime diaper and it has worked very well. I have no nighttime issues right now, so I can't comment on how well they will work at night. I don't think they are absorbent enough for you though. I did buy a case of Seni Super Quatro recently and while they are too thick for me to use when I'm at work, I think they would be very good for night time use. Seni also has a wider selection of sizes- my 40 inch waist will fit both "Regular" and "Large".

Also, I visited "Changing Times Diaper Company" when I was in Las Vegas a few weeks back and I got a few samples of various disposables to try out. One that might work well for you is the ABU Simple diaper. Two tapes, high gutter guards and plastic liner. Was very absorbent and got very thick, must be lots of SAP. BTW, it's plain white. Comes in S, M & L.

You mentioned that the NorthShore Supreme diapers are "awful stiff." Agreed. I spoke with Adam about this and it is a factor of the compression they use in packaging to reduce the volume and thus the cost of the diapers that are shipped from France.

I tape my diapers so snugly around my waist that an elastic waistband is completely stretched out and performs no useful function. The lack of an elastic waistband on the NorthShore Supremes is not an issue for me.

I now fluff up the NorthShore Supremes before putting them on and have found that it works pretty well.

thanks for this. I do have some Supremes in my stock and do wear them to bed sometimes. Like I said the Supreme Lites are my go-to daytime diaper but they feel a lot different than the regular supremes regarding stiffness. I still have and wear Abena L4 to bed and very rarely leak as I'm able to get a super snug fit and good seal with them.

It's just that after trying the Better Dry diapers, It's like driving a Benz and then not wanting to get back in your Chevy after. If the Better Drys become too hard to come by, I may try the rearz inspire+ in control and/or the ABU simples. I'm iffy on "landing zone" diapers though because I tried the bambino bianco and found that I couldn't get a good fit due to the lower tape not being low enough. it seems these diapers try to force you to tape higher up and thus prevent a good leg seal.

I appreciate the responses guys. My 6 month supply of Better Dry gets in tomorrow so I should be ok for a while.

So after reading this thread I decided to give these a shot, and after using them at night all week I have to say that I'm impressed. I'm primarily a side and stomach sleeper, and so far I haven't had any leaks. The only issue that I had with them (at least in the beginning) was I had one of the tapes come partially undone and fold over on itself and then when I tried to fix the issue I ended up ripping the plastic. Thankfully this was only a one time thing, and I think that it only happened because I may not have pressed firmly enough while affixing the tape. Overall this is a very good diaper, but not anything that I would ever consider wearing during the day as it bulks up way to much when wet. I really do hope that these stay available as I may end up going with them as my primary overnight diaper.

I recently bought a bag of 15 BetterDry diapers to see how they compare to the Dry 24/7 diapers that I've been wearing for the past several months. I found that the capacity of the BetterDry diapers is very similar to that of the Dry 24/7's, but the size medium is substantially smaller (but still OK for me) in the BetterDry's. However, the BetterDry's cost about 50 cents per diaper more than the Dry 24/7. They're great diapers but not worth the extra cost.
