Urgh that comment would get to me too! It's good that they're going to help you learn how to do it lying down. I hope it's helpful
Well done for getting through it. I know you had no choice, but I also know from your other posts that there were elements of it that would have been hard for you.
I hope they're coming out to help you regularly enough.

Truthfully I see it more of her "motherly instinct" kicking in. She is an aid specifically to help care for others after all, so I'd guess that force is strong in her to begin with. I really doubt she meant it to be embarrassing though, but by all means let her know so she can learn to be even more professional the next time.

May I insert a plug here for occupational therapists? I have a bi-lateral inner ear disease. It makes me walk like a drunk, fall occasionally, and sometimes the vertigo drives me insane. The occupational therapist read my medical history, and spent a whole appointment showing me how to wash and change myself safely. I had been doing it all wrong; I could have fallen numerous times. She made me stop and think about my center of gravity, what I could use to steady myself, where I would need to have my supplies in order to avoid reaching and risk falling. Embarrassing? Indeed. However, learning that I had been doing it all wrong was still another embarrassment.
