Hey all. I just thought I'd share an idea about what to do with extra packs of diapers we may have laying around. I know we have all bought products in the past that we wanted to try, but in the end, didn't work out. So I thought I would throw out this tidbit. When this happens to me, I donate them to nursing homes. They are usually happy to have them. Or I donate them to medical thrift stores. Where I live, Hospice runs a thrift store where all the proceeds go towards hospice care in our area. When I switched to Confidry 24/7, I gave several packs of molicare diapers that didn't work for me to hospice. They were excited to have them. In fact the older gentleman that helped me with my donation told me he wore them too and would be happy to have them for himself. Either way, I thought my donation would make someone's life a little easier. So I thought I could help someone clean out their closet. You can donate your unwanted stash to a good cause.

I've always hated the idea of donating or giving (give a man a fish vs. teach him to fish). I've always just grinned through it and finished off the bag as best as I could. Often this meant just using them in the evening when I was home, but it get me through them eventually. Best of all, this has taught me which diapers absolutely do not work so I won't ever be temped to try another one like it again.

Don, that was awesome to do that. Way to give a hand up to someone who needs them.

Hey I'm all for giving a hand up (such as a how to, directions, contract loans, etc), but letting someone use you as a figurative stepping stone (by paying their way for them) has always been going too far in my book.

Obviously I know I'm in the minority with this thinking, but having been on the receiving end myself that just taught me if you want something you have to get it yourself.
