I didn't know where to put this post, so I thought I'd just "do" a general...

I have experimented for many years, to find what is right for me, and my "little problem". During the day I have a degree of control, and try to "make-it" to the loo, where I can. (Forget about any control at night - very little!). Even so, I usually wear terry-towelling nappies when I'm out and about, or at work. (Snap-sided variety, with snap-side plastic pants. Not a problem, except that the nappies are rather expensive.)

One person posted, on this board, that he discounted terry towelling nappies on account of the bulk. That's fair enough, and I think that which one wears is going to be, inevitably, according to circumstance and need, and quite rightly so.

I recently read a post from a person on another "inco" site, where she wrote that she purchases large terry towelling "hand-towels" from Asda, and uses those, effectively, when out and about, pinned-on, with plastic pants. ("Asda" is a major Supermarket Chain in the UK - the best, IMHO, owned by Walmart......whoever they may be (LOL!)).

So, I have been trying them, on a whim, and find them just as successful as the snap-on terry pants, at a fraction of the cost! Not only that, but I can pin them on with pull-up plastic pants (safer than snap-sides) and change very easily in an ordinary toilet cubicle. (Slide plastic pants to knees, change nappy, wipe, then pull-up said plastic pants. Wet nappy into "bum-bag", then back to whatever I was doing.....)

Now, the other thing about wearing these towels is that there is no bulk. And I challenge even the "knowing" to detect that I'm "wearing"!

That's an interesting way of doing it. A person could make cheap diapers that way. For what it cost for say three good quality cloth diapers a person could make a bunch of diapers out of some towels.

I did something similar to that this summer. We were out on our Power Cruiser on a remote island in the northern part of Lake Michigan and got stuck there because of high winds it was to rough to go out. so we stayed an extra day and a 1/2 and I was getting low on diapers. We were alone as luck would have it for most of the time we were there. I took some towels and fashion my own Diaper out of them. Ended up using Duck Tape to hold them on with my plastic pants over them they worked fine. They maybe weren't as comfortable as real diaper. But let me tell you . A person can make a pretty good Diaper out of a full length beach towel and with a few hand towels inside. I was able to go about 10 hours with that set up before I began to leak :!:

My husband told be to complete the look I should quack like a duck when I was walking around :? (LOL) I'm not sure overalls would have hid that bulk :?

Anyway all for now.........................Sandy :)
