Yep, better to bulge than to leak! :D

I will add in with what everyone else is saying. I started out wearing pads or pull ups or what have you, trying to get away with the bare minimum I possibly could for my own dignity's sake, and have found that over time, just sucking it up and wearing the protection you need is the best way to go. If diapers are the best solution, you should go with it. The confidry, while thick, have the waistband in the front and back that make going pulling them down a bit pretty easy when you have to use the restroom for it. Over the summer, I was able to wean back a bit with the easing of my symptoms, but I quickly learned its better to be safe than sorry. Better to have a bulge than wet pants, as the guy above me said!

Hey @MikeJames - How is it going with wearing all the time? It can be a big adjustment... but I think over time becomes more bearable. Would love to hear how you are adjusting...

doing ok I guess. There's a Wendy's up the street from my work. I walk up there to change.

The northshore supremes lites are fairly discreet and definitely sufficient for my current needs. Wearing diapers makes me feel both more confident and ridiculous all at once.

I've dealt with incontinence off and on all my life, and have been in an out of diapers since 1987...mostly in for the last 10 years. I've tried just about every wearable product and have found that the only combination that consistently works for me is a full-on adult diaper and plastic pants. I Have normal bladder control about 30 to 35 percent of the time, but haven't had much success using the bathroom to urinate without destroying the diaper in the process of pulling it off/down and then putting it back on. I just use the diaper all of the time.

That was one of the more challenging adjustments for me once I started managing my incontinence with absorbent products, the other main one being seen in diapers by my wife (who's actually handled this better than I have). I'm long past the psychological discomfort of wetting my diapers deliberately, and my wife is used to seeing me in my diapers and plastic pants.

Schooner,

Your bladder control sounds about the same as mine.

Re peeing without destroying a disposable diaper, I gave up on unfastening and refastening the tapes. What did work for me was pulling the penis under a leg elastic to pee in the toilet. :D However, once I began regularly using barrier creams with zinc oxide I had to stop as too much zinc oxide was transferring onto the leg elastics and then onto my clothing. :(

Hi John,

My leg openings are a bit too tight, in order for me to ensure against leakage, for me to do what you've done in the past. I've also found that when I have a normal bladder sensation, I have very little time to make it to a bathroom before wetting anyway, so it's less stressful and inconvenient to try to avoid using the diaper.

"more confident and ridiculous all at once" Haha that is such a great description of what it is like. Glad to hear you are adjusting ok. I've used the Northshore Lites during the day a couple of times as well with good success. Now I use the Absorbency Plus pretty much all the time because their plastic is noticeably quieter. Best of luck to ya....
