As a writer myself, I can also appreciate your due diligence but maybe start with reading the diaper primer on this site? If you have follow up questions afterwards you can feel free to PM me but my issues started after college. Sorry, I can't help you on dealing with diapers in high school. And the best diaper? Depends on your body type I guess but a scroll through this site will show that a lot of people like the Dry 24/7's.

Enrique, if you're actually being genuine, what you need to understand is that we deal with a lot of tourists. People show up asking questions, and probing for personal accounts, but they're actually looking for sexual gratification. Nobody wants to be objectified for something that causes them pain or anguish.

You may have stumbled out onto thin ice without realizing it.

I don't think it needs to be deleted, I simply stated Im sitting out. I still think awareness to I/C is a good thing. I myself are no longer bothered by my issues but in the beginning everybody needs a little help. I help folks adjust to the issue they will face on a day to day basis, but its done face to face. I/C still is looked at with blind eyes and its a shame. Im not big on superhero's but if it helps some people then it will be a good thing. Just some thoughts.

I really didn't know how to respond to this, but after what happen last night when I was washing out our carpet cleaner I decided to respond with this. As with most super hero there is one thing that is a weakness. This one would be running water for those with neurological bladder. I had just used the bathroom about 30 minutes ago, and was using the hose to rinse out the carpet shampoo machine well you can guess what happen. Taking from another post I did: "One of my biggest triggers is if I am around running water for example drinking out of a water fountain or doing dishes. Another frustration is when I just went to the bathroom and I have an accident shortly afterwards. I just shake my head and say "Really" I just empty you."

I have been in direct communication with Enrique. He appears to be quite genuine. :D

Or a good virtual actor/salesman who is adept at repackaging his product/agenda on the fly when his pitch goes sideways and the need arises.

I have read some of Enrique's work. He is doing exactly what he said he was doing.

Lighten up on the hostility, guys. He had good intentions and had no idea we would be so sensitive. :(

Hello everybody,
So, I want to introduce myself, my name is Enrique and I'm a 25 year old writer. Recently I wrote a superhero book with an incontinent character, an incontinent superhero. I'm part of a project in which we great out-of-stereotypical superheroes and I decided that my hero should be incontinent to raise awareness of this issue. Now, I'm not incontinent myself, so I can just understand a 10% of what you guys and girls go through. That's what I would like some insight on it by asking some questions that I hope some of you can answer.

The first novel was very well acclaimed by reviewers that I'm writing a sequel in which the incontinent sidekick evolves into a full fledged hero. But I want to portray him well. So I would like you to help me understand this condition so I can portray the character as true as I can.

So, he's a teenager, 16 years old in high school. So first off, the questions that you could help me understand are the following.

How does a sixteen year old in high school deals with having to wear diapers?
How does he feel when he's been constantly harassed in school?
How does he deal with intimacy with a significant partner (girlfriend)?
How does social stigma affects him?
Wearing diapers all the time, what does it feel like?
What does he do when he leaks in public? How would someone his age react?

Those are the questions I'd like to know to understand incontinence. And final question: If you were a superhero, what kind of diaper would you wear for long stakeouts?

Thanks you in advance. I would really like to do justice to this community with this character and make sure he's well portrayed. And last, I want you to know that I admire you for going through this condition and keep standing. You're brave and role models.

Peace out!
Thank you,
Enrique

I for one believe your intentions are admirable. Yes you absolutely should make sure anything you reference should be as accurate and positive as possible. Yes, incontinence is a very, very, very, touchy subject for many, and absolutely does have a big and unfounded social stigma attached to it. And yes you could unintentionally insult someone here even by just asking to know more about it, even if that isn't your intent (trust me, I know).

I'm not insulted though, so I'd be happy to answer your questions as honest as I can. Unfortunately, to do so would take more explaining than I can do on the open forums here. Is it ok if I message you instead?

Oh, I also wanted to ask what your first book was as well. What better way to "trust but verify" than by buying your book.
