As to the medical history. Colon cancer, then colon cancer, both of which saved my life, but had other consequences, then a four way by-pass. The end result is that today I am cancer free, have a good heart but have light to moderate urinary IC. May be a small price to pay.
Oh, I don't have to worry about the bowels. They are gone. So my situation may be a bit unique.
As good as Ostomy equipment is these days, sometimes the seals can fail and, well, you know the results. The IC, and the other possibilities, brought me to look for solutions and ultimately to this site.
Speaking briefly in the style of YODA, "lurking I have been, knowledge I have found." Thank you all.
Through much trial and error, as well as the kindness of a few samples, I think I have found solutions that will provide good protection at home and while traveling. I hope that I can add to the conversation from what may be a somewhat different perspective.

Welcome RoadPirate!

This is a great place to lurk. There are many snippets of "wisdom" to be found in the message archive.

Congratulations on being a cancer survivor. You have company here.

RoadPirate,

I can't add to what others before me have already said, but I will say the same just so you know you really are among a very friendly group of people. Welcome to a GREAT forum. Most members sharing their experience and knowledge about their incontinence (IC) with other members is what makes this a GREAT forum. I can't think of ANY known cause of IC that we don't have one, or more members with the same identical, or near identical medical cause for their IC. I'm SURE you will find the exchange of information with other members with the same medical issues very resourceful. Its this type of hands-on information that your doctor(s) can't provided unless they've experienced the same medical issues. You will find NO shortage of "hands-on" Subject Matter Experts on the topic IC within this forum. What the members of our forum lack in what I will describe as "formal medical degree education",....... we make-up for with our hands-on knowledge and experience.

Welcome to the forum.
