Anyway, I agree that the diapers and providers recommended are awesome but everyone's body is different so try them before you place a big order. As for your issues as a kid, I can relate.... I wet the bed until I was around 12 or 13 but my parents just taught me how to wash my sheets in the middle of the night and let me manage on my own that way. Wearing the diapers back then would have been mortifying and you have my post-event sympathy.

Welcome mvincent! So sorry to hear that you are faced with these challenges. You will find a good group here. I am 32 and have used some form of protection since my later teen years. As others have mentioned, Northshore Supremes or the ConfiDry 24/7 work well at night for some people (myself included). However, if the night time wetting is very severe, you might consider cloth diapers.

Hope you find a solution that works well for you. It is a lot of trial and error to find what works best for your situation, but the recommendations others have given here are spot on.

Had my appointment on Tuesday and the urologist gave me an appointment for a cystocopy. He told me there was nothing to do other than continue to wear the protection (diapers) and come in for the procedure. My wife seemed more let down than I was but 'It is what it is' < love that saying. I am having a real hard time with anxiety, especially at bedtime. Luckily for me I have a loving, caring, and supportive wife that diapers me for bed and doesn't see my flaws but accepts the fact that I need diapers. Has anyone else had a cystocopy? If so is it worth going through?

Welcome to the group, first stress can make your body do thing that you thought was never possible. But you need to make sure that there isn't anything else going on.

I had a cystoscopy many years ago and another one a couple of years ago. The equipment has certainly improved. I needed a general anesthetic for the first one, but not the second. The urologist told me that a general anesthetic would not be needed for my second exam during an appointment about 6 weeks before the cystoscopic examination was scheduled. I spent that 6 weeks nearly scared out of my mind about what I thought would be a very unpleasant experience. Suffice it to say that the real experience was so much less traumatic than I had imagined that it was almost disappointing. With the modern flexible cystoscopes, the procedure isn't exactly pleasant, but it really isn't painful. And if you want to, they will probably let you look at the same screen the doctor uses to see what the inside of your bladder and prostate look like. I found that rather interesting.
