My nephew and I had a great day at the track.
It was a little hot out but we had plenty of water (and beer) to drink.
The lines to the bathrooms was just as long as the ones to the food tents.
I think my nephew was a little jellous that I had my diapers

The track did a great job remembering all the service members that had fallen over the years.
The sound of taps always get to me.
I lost a few friends that I was stationed with over in Germany over the years.
One of my best friends went to Iraq and never came home.
Myself, I was on the list to go there 3 times, but the base hospital wouldn't let me go.
I guess they didnt have the cases of diapers over there.

Here is a youtube of Taps with the words to it displayed.

Memorial Day is difficult for me, lost several friends.... those who were right next to me one moment and not the next. So I went to the Arlington where they were buried in and drank beers with them. Sometimes it helps me to talk to them, tell them about all the things they missed... we were so young.... all of 21 for my first tour and 23 for the second. Anyway, sorry I couldn't be here yesterday to send my appreciation for your regards to our friends.
