So yesterday I had to move my appointment with my continence advisor as I could not make the first appointment as it clashed with something else (my wife had a appointment as we are expecting our first child so that is way more important). Anyway I rebooked and the nearest appointment is halfway through August! I am a very proud person and work hard and pay my way but with the mortgage and bills and my wife not earning that much supporting my constant need for pads is a struggle and we usually have to go without. I did previously have a prescription but due to moving county I've had to start again from scratch with them. This does also mean in going to have to go through all the usual stuff again where they try to palm me off with a catheter, which I would be more then happy to have but where would i put a leg bag for my job as I have to use a climbing harness and for riding a bike which makes it blaring obvious.

What I'm getting at is how long do you have to wait to see a specialist? I don't like going (who does?) but I need to for financial reasons as well as to make sure nothing else is wrong. Sorry for the long winded post but I have to vent

ugh. i understand that struggle. ive had to wait over 3 months to see my urologist before.
vent away.

my diapers arent covered by any sort of insurance so that doesnt rely on a doctor but waiting sure is frustrating.

Yeah, same here. Some places like general practitioners might have wait times of just one month, but most specialists are closer to three months. And trying to get in to see a Veterans Association (VA) doctor can be six months to a year long wait!
