the a+ doesnt have the waistband like the confidry so they slide down my stomach. im wearing plastic pants but they are doing the same thing.
im afraid that when i have an accident its not going to catch it all.
is there anything i can do?

i ditched the plastic pants and am just wearing a diaper and onsie. and praying the a+ does its job.
i packed a pair of shorts and boxer briefs in case i have to ditch the onsie and pants.

We all have gone through this dilemma and prefer different solutions.

There are several approaches to this. First and most important, are your diaper and plastic pants the right size for your anatomy? The plastic pants should fit snugly enough at the waist to provide a little bit of support to the diaper (probably not much). If your plastic pants are the correct waist size, they should not be slipping unless the heavy wet diaper is pulling them down.

Second, if you are fastening the diaper's tapes snugly, the elastic waistband usually plays almost no role as it will be almost totally stretched out. Instead, adjust the fit at the waist by taping snugly. That is critical to holding the diaper in place. If the tapes come loose, reinforce them with a small piece of duct tape.

Now for other approaches. Try wearing a snug pair of stretchable (like Spandex) underpants over your plastic pants to provide some compression to hold everything in place. This probably is the least expensive solution and I would start off with this. Better yet is wearing a pair of athletic compression pants over everything. This really holds everything in place. Another approach is to wear a onesie (bodysuit) over the plastic pants to provide enough lift to support the diaper. Last possibility is to use a pair of diaper suspenders (also called underwear suspenders). I use every one of these methods, depending on the diaper, my outer clothing, and the weather.

I just read that you ditched the plastic pants. Probably not a good idea. If you are wearing a onesie it should support both the diaper and the plastic pants.

Justj, as everything costs money, most of us experimented with the various methods slowly and over a period of time before we found what works best for us. I think you will get lists of recommendations.

i dont think my plastic pants are the right size.
since taking them off the diaper actually fits better.
i packed plenty of spare diapers so im not taking any chances of pushing these to the max.

I agree with John- you need to tape up a bit snugger. The elastics are never strong enough to support the weight of your diaper, even at partial capacity. Tape it very snug, stretching all elastic to its full length. If you do a lot of bending or squatting during the day, you may need to take a break and retape your diapers, as the plastic will stretch somewhat under those conditions.

well the first a+ did its job.
no leaks. lets hope the luck keeps up the rest of the day. this second diaper seems to be staying up, so i must have had the last one taped weird.
nothing compares to confidry though.
these will do in a pinch, but i definitely wont let my confidrys run out.

Could I introduce you to my friend mr duct tape? A couple strips of him taped snugly on well fitting diaper is practically guaranteed to keep things in place

Preferably the duck tapes with bright stripes and patterns to break up the very boring monotony of plain white diaper plastic!

I like the Duck brand duct tape is it is a bit easier to tear with the hands, when necessary.

I'd also point out to be absolutely sure you are not rubbing the plastic smooth where the tapes will eventually be stuck. This will deposit the oil on your hands onto the diaper and make the tapes work poorly. Instead, try tugging the front side/edge of the diaper as you pull the other tapped back sides- over- the tugged tight front sides. It takes some practice, but ensures no oil gets on the diaper before you tape it on.

Also, once tapped on; rub the tapes down a little. The friction will partly heat up the adhesive and make it stick better, while the pressure will also help stick it on better too.

When all else fails I always keep a safety pin or two at work and in my car. They work just as good as tape but are much easier to carry around & always have on hand.

welp. i made it through the day without plastic pants or any leaks.
according to fedex my case of confidrys will arrive tomorrow.
i have enough to get me through the day tomorrow and enough a+ in case a disaster hits with my shipment.
