Hey everyone.
I'm in the hospital and boy do hospital diapers suck!
The nurses have been nice but its really embarrassing.
I'm here because I have a staph infection so I don't know how long I will be here.
I'm hooked up to a bunch of stuff so the nurses have been changing me.
Blah.

Feeling like a two year old,
justej

Sorry to hear about you being ill. :(

Hope you recover very quickly. :D

Can you tell what kind of diapers they are using?

Hope you recover soon. Being in the hospital is no fun, especially when you can not take care of your own personal needs. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Here's to a speedy recovery. Just remember the nurses deal with a lot of bodily fluids. Some worse than others.

the diapers they use are coventry wings.
at least thats what it says on the tapes.
they are thin. real thin.
like whats the point thin.
they ordered me pullups because sometimes i can make it and honestly id rather wear those anyway since these diapers are so thin.
the antibiotics i got this morning gave me really bad diarreah and i had an accident when i woke up. that never happens but i guess there is a first time for everything!

just got moved to a private room. looks like ill be here for awhile....

Justej,

Add my best wishes for your speedy recovery. Because I'm on a maximum dose of erythromycin, and have been for years, I know all too much about diarrhea caused by antibiotics. This can be really hard on your skin, so making it a point to be changed ASAP after every diarrhea accident is a high priority. My opinion of hospital diapers would get me permanently banned from this site if I were to type it.

Again, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

They put me back in the whats the point diapers because I soaked my pull ups and the bed.
It's frustrating. I'm also sitting on 2 pads.
You'd think they'd have better diapers at the hospital

Sorry your sick, hope you get well soon. Those antibiotic wreck havoc on me also. My wife brought my diapers from home. Just a thought. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Think I found a solution!
I had put on a pull up on top of a diaper and that seemed to do the trick! Woke up soaked but the bed was dry.
They are also letting me change myself. Which is so much better and less embarrassing.
They tried to give me oral antibiotics again last night but I threw up again. So its back to the iv.

Hang in there just!

Re Coventry Wings, could they be the same as Kendal Wings? Kendal Wings can be purchased for as little as $.50 per diaper.
