If you dry up again, sounds like it will be best to keep a small supply stock on hand.
My experiences with the ATN: decent in a pinch, but not the greatest value in terms of ounces absorbed/retained per dollar. I personally have an issue with the fit of these. They seem cut ideally for someone taller, thin and straight through the hips, with small thighs. I am none of those things, so the mediums (my usual size) cut into my legs and fit awkwardly, while the rise on the larges is too high (not discreet) plus they sag/leak.
I've been impressed with the Northshores. Very good absorbency/cost ratio. The cloth covered version was my go-to this summer, but I'll probably switch to the plastic for a small cost savings during the winter. The plastic ones also retain heat and don't feel as cold and clammy in low temperatures.
