Hi Porkchop,

These diapers are sold and manufactured exclusively by Northsore at http://www.northshorecare.com/
If you contact their customer service or send them a message, they can send you a free sample. Both Northshore and Xpmedical(Xpmedical.com)
have great customer service.
Normally I don't like cloth backed diapers as they tend to leak or have lousy odor control, etc- the Northshore air briefs, although a bit more
pricey - they are definitely the best cloth backed diapers around. And incontinentsupport has written a good review about them for most part

I second the sentiment about Northshore care diapers. Both XP Medical and Northshore care are EXCELLENT companies to deal with. I prefer to use XP Medical if i can, because after all, Gary is a small buisness owner and is incontinent himself. But i discovered though trial and error, that for the summer time it really is best overall to use a product that he does not currently carry. That product is the Northshore care Air supreme. Also, when I am at home, XP medical 9 times out of 10 delivered my orders literally someitmes a day after i placed the order, or they arrive within 2 days. When i was at camp, it was delayed. However, Northshore care had no such delay. Whenever I placed an order, it was there the next day without exception. Now, with XP medical, we might have gotten it figured out where the delivery can get there quicker, but they still don't have the one product that does the best in the summertime. So, I plan to use both from now on if possible. I get ALL my bodystocking and overpants from Gary. His products are excelllent quality. I was also extrememly pleased with how the Northshore brief performed over the summer.

Hope this helps!

Peace out!

Rob

Porkchop, the northshore care diaper can be found on Northshore's website. I order them direct from them. It is www.northshorecare.com I have heard of others finding them on other sites such as Amazon or Ebay. Like I said, I order them direclty from the manufacturer because their customer service is on par with Gary from XP Medical.

Thanks MsShendo, I went ahead and contacted them about trying a sample of their product. Now I wait and see if they reply! :)

What is your normal changing routine like? I am curious about how other people manage their diapers and incont. Especially being outdoors and generally active all day.
For me I have been migrating towards mostly Northshorecare diapers. I still have some older dry 24/7 in my closet that I use more on weekends. When I wake up at around 6 I throw on my shorts/exercise pants and head out for a jog or downstairs for a workout depending on the weather and my energy level. Around 7/7:30 I hop in shower and then change out of my evening diaper into a Northshorecare supreme. In the late afternoon, if I had many leaks, I then change into a Northshorecare lite so I can workout easier after work. Then I change once more in evening after dinner into either another Northshorecare supreme or an abri form x plus. If I have a doctor appt then I use a generic diaper with a lite pad since I won't be in it for very long

KDLSTAR,

Sadly I don't think I could workout before changing my night diaper as my diaper is too full in the morning. I take off my night diaper after I get the kids off to school (around 8am) and go sans diaper while I take a walk around the lake behind my house. If I leak some, oh well as I am sending the stuff right into the washer. Mostly it has been ok, and this lets my skin air out some, which was recommended here when I first started reading. I also do it so I don't waste a diaper, as I jump into the shower afterwards. The rest, well I am still figuring it out.

Luckily I don't have nighttime leaking issues....at least not yet. It seems confined to mostly during the day.
I definitely don't want to risk goin without the protection at night though. And in regards to exercise- idk it's kinda conflicting. Not a fan and of pissing in my workout clothes and sometimes I like leak or get like a increased urge and pressure when I work out. Hate having to break the workout to rush to the toilet for some dribbles or leaks. But I am also not a fan of chafing. Baby powder/corn starch definitely helps some. The pul plastic pants are pretty soft and relatively "breathable". And the Northshorecare lites are not super bulky and the lining feels pretty dry. I definitely would not want to do heavy exercise or much walking in the dry 24/7 though.

Right now, because of my injuries, I am limited to a causal paced walk but hopefully that'll change and I will adapt to that. Obviously once I can make use of gyms again I will need to protect myself from leaks, but until then this works for me. Maybe I can find a good lighter diaper to wear by then! :)

Kdlstar,

My changing routine when I'm at home usually consists of changiing after one or two wettings.. It's easy to just stop what I'm doing and take care of business.. thus, when I'm at home, i really don't care about the absorbency of the diaper i use, as long as it can hold a decent size flood. So far, the Attends 8 medicaid is providing seems to be adequate. I don't know if they would stand up to what I call the morning deluge, which is a really large amount of urine that i relase after waking up.

When I am out and about in the community, I have been making sure I leave the house wearing Attends breathable extra absorbent, or tena ultra. If I am out and about at say walmart, and i have an episdoede, sometimes I cut my shoping trip short and go home and change, some times I don't. It depends on the amount of the urine. I can tell by the lenght of the episode and the flow by feel. Sometimes I release a moderate amout, sometimes i relase standard bladderful. Sometimes, i release so much that the diaper I'm wearing becomes saturated, and when that happens, I change pronto!

When I am working or in a situation where changing would be difficult /awkward, such as away from home, i put on a premium diaper designed for extended wear use. I have used Abena X-Plus, Confidry, A+ Level 4, Secure personal Care x-plus, Seni quatro, Molicare, Tena Slip Maxi, and Northshore Air Supreme. Currently for work I am wearing Northshore air supreme, sometimes boosted with a Tranquility Topline Contour booster. That combo kept me dry today depite what felt like a deluge. However, the booster did make things bulge a bit. No one said anything to me, but I think when I'm through with this case of northsore care, I will go back to Abena X-Plus. Nothshore care is a bit more bulkier and stiffer. It reminds me of Molicare.

Hope this answers your question!

Peace out!

Rob
