If TSA decides to look in my carry on, will they be smart/sensitive enough to pull them out and ask "what's this"?

When we flew to Ireland for a ten-day tour last October, the TSA folks at the airport saw my inventory of incontinence supplies and did not bat an eye. Clearly, they see this frequently. Just remember to include plastic bags for disposal of used diapers.

Have a good trip.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll bring junk grocery store plastic bags since they will meld in fine with the rest of my folks trash along with a ziplock bag for wet product. Good ideas. I started packing already and I rolled each diaper up and secured it with a rubber band so they don't take up too much room. Like I said earlier, I'm bringing 4 diapers and I'm planning to use one for 2 nights each. We'll be there for 8 nights so I realize I'm counting on not wetting. I haven't wet for a month so I think I'll be ok. I haven't needed a daytime men's guard in a while but I'm bringing a couple of them just in case.

For the last couple weeks I've been usually wearing a diaper to bed only when I'm really exhausted or I've drunk before bed, particularly wine or juice. Apple juice especially makes me get up to go.

I've been thinking that my sleep patterns must be changing as I've aged just as much as my prostate is changing. When I was younger I could always count on waking up if I needed to go, no matter how tired I was. Now I have to view each night as a unique situation and make an intelligent estimate on what the night will be like based on the day, did I take the pygeum, what did I drink, etc.

gtrudeau88,

Soon enough keeping track of such calculations will soon become second nature. We all do it. Good luck, and report back on your time with your parents.

We're back home now. I did wear protection each and every night but things didn't go as I planned. I brought 4 diapers and I had planned to use them 2 days each. I damaged one and it only lasted one night and I soaked another so 2 of these diapers only lasted one night each. Bought a package of tape-on Depends at Walmart to complete the week.

I wet only once and I think I know why that one wetting occurred. I usually crap once every a.m. but on Tuesday I didn't. Tuesday night I ate a late large meal of lobster bisque followed by 1.5 lb of mussels in a red sauce. I was tired when we got back that night and I didn't wake until I felt the urine against my skin. I think I had too much food and poop in me and there wasn't much room to store urine, combined with excessive fatigue.
