LstofQues,
It doesn't hurt to always hope the doctor has a cure for you. Atleast, when you go and talk to her/him, they should be able to have some sort of an ideal of what might be causing your incontinence. One thing, though, don't let the doctor be too quick with the comments she/he has. Be sure you understand what he/she is saying and keep asking questions until you're satisfied. ..........Paul Martin

I figure most people don't notice because with the number of people out there wearing them we ouselves most likely have met other users and not noticed. However, I have gotten a few of the same funny looks and stares, younger people at school to be exact. I'm guessing it was the bulge and lines, or maybe just the bubble but affect. This is something that can almost bring me to the point of tears and feeling very bad afterwards. It's worse when its a place you have to go back to. It's something that can't be controlled and we're trying to do the best we can. So many ups and downs.

LtsofQues,

Sometimes you see people give you a funny look, but it really may be nothing. Most people don't even know what to look for. I really don't think they purposly look at our behind or front to see if there is any bulkyness. I really think the only thing that could give you away is the crinkle of the plastic on your diaper. But again, most people are not listening for this. You and I, who wear diapers, know what to look for or listen for. I really think it's all in our mind, that people suspect us wearing protection.
Anyways, that's my opinion! ......Paul

This is true but in school when you finish a test you have to go up to the teachers desk to hand it in. Ithink it was the bulk and lines being obvious and these were younger people in school. It may have been a combination of that and the crinkle because the aisles are narrow and I sit in back. Many of them wear tight pants and I obviously can't. Depend underwear and refastenables cannot be trusted for an hour and a half review and test when you can't leave the room. I'm not going to worry about them too much because the same thing could happen to any of them and they wouldn't thing it's funny. I wonder if its wrong that in this situation, sitting for this long and knowing that you won't make it just to go. It seems like there's no sense to struggle trying to hold it when it's going to come out in five minutes or so anyway. Plus the added stress of taking a test and figuring that's what the diaper is being used for anyway.

One more thing I would like to add is that as common as this is with 3,000 students the math suggests that there would have to be more people there with the same problem. Maybe I should consult the office of students with disabilities about this.

LtsofQues,
I feel the same way you do. Most of the time, I'll get a 30 second warning my bladder is about to let go. I use to fight it, but now I don't. I just let it go. My diaper is on me for that reason. I think you're hurting your bladder and risk getting more UTI's if you hold it too long. There's nothing wrong at all just to let it go. To me, it's painfull trying to keep the spasam in control. Some may call this being lazy. I think we're just being smart. .....Paul

I think your right. I have more than thirty seconds but in school I you know it's going to be an hour, there's no way. Also, about walking through the aisles at school and not trusting depends for a test. Attends work very well but are noisy and bulky. I think this may be a giveaway. Tena is very good but still bulky. I guess you just can't worry about everything. The first time is hard but after that if people notice I think you stop worrying so much and do what is best for you. I haven't completely adopted that attitude but think its the right direction to move in.

I've been wearing the Attends Breathable now, and nobody seems to notice. I've abandoned the Depend Adjustable for now. I ran out and needed to wear something, so I went with the diapers I'd been using outside of work.

At least nobody has said that they notice...maybe they're just being polite, but I'll take it.

I know that I am posting in the wrong subject, but on the positive side I'm really looking forward to trying the cloth pull ups. Today I thought about if there's anyway those could be used at work with a pad or kind of a strange idea, but a disposable baby diaper inside.(whatever may work) That way it could cut down on noise bulk and cost at the same time. They seem more discreet and comfortable. I haven't seen any that have velcro(like tapes) on the sides for easy pull up and changing. They will have to be tested first. What do you guys think? I will have many more questions about this.
