msshendo, it took my wife a while to become comfortable with the terminology. She still calls my daily enemas my "procedure," although as a retired RN I guess that would be professional terminology. At least now a diaper is a "diaper."

It is more likely that your hydration level was the big contributor to your accident. The oils alone should not have made the difference. Due to my bowel incontinence I am covered with barrier cream - right up into my crotch - and have no difficulties from that.
It is possible that some minor alteration in how you adjusted and taped the diaper left just a little looseness at the leg gathers which increased as the diaper sagged. Due to my bowel incontinence I have learned the hard way. For maximum efficiency, both the internal standing leak guards and the leg gathers should be in contact with the skin. I really have to be careful with cloth-backed diapers due to their increased stretching and thus increased sag.
