For people with spinal injuries and similar problems that result in permanent wheelchair use I have seen quite a lot of suggestions of cooling the 'external parts' as permanent sitting can cause extra heat and hence problems. I can't help but think that the same would apply to wearing nappies (diapers) too. At least a bit of 'airing' would be a good idea to help 'cool off'

Some time back I read about a person in diapers having been told by their doctor to place some type of cooling medium in their diaper once a day to cool the scrotum and its contents. I think it was some type of cool gel bag but do not recall the details.
