When leaving the house I am wearing pull ups, but if I have an accident out in town I prefer to use diapers with tabs so I do not have to get undressed in a public bathroom. Plus, looking for something that could work in both situations so I don't have to have two different kinds. I saw Prevail in a medical supply store when I was shopping for a CPAP pillow. Did some research and decided to give them a try, as Depends Adjustable underwear felt like a board when putting them on. The one thing I didn't foresee was their size charts do not correspond to the inches on the bag. My waist size is 44" so when I was at the store I picked up a size 1 which says 26"-48". Got home and went to do a test run with them. They didn't fit. Not too happy, so I contacted the company. To my surprise I received a phone call and we discussed the sizing chart and I should be in a size 3. Prevail said they would send out a replacement bag and were sorry for the inconvenience.

A week later a large box arrived and when opening it, there were 4 bags inside. On test runs though the size 3 does well, but is almost too big for me and I wonder if I should try a size 2, but a little hesitate as I don't want to waste the money. If the size 2 does work than I have 3 unopened bags. I already have one open bag of size 1 which I cannot use and I am wondering how to dispose of them. Will Goodwill or some other donation center take open bags?

Has anybody else run into this problem where it seems you are between sizes? If you have tried other stuff and it didn't work, did you donate what was left over or just throw them away? Who did you donate them too?

Most will accept the opened unused diapers I had the same issue and when We dropped them off with the sealed nags they took the open one because they could see they were not used you can always ask before you take the open bag over. Since they are still in the original bag it should not be an issue, some one could always use them .

Hey Batman,

I would think most any donation site will take the unopened packages of diapers. Most of your drop off boxes we have down here in Tennessee puts most anything to use. They could go to a nursing home. I have never tried Prevail disposables. I have always stuck with the small, medium, large, and x-large sizing. Those sizes by numbers get me confused. I'm not plugging these guys, but XP Medical has a great supply of the cheap diapers to the high end type. You may check them out. I've bought my disposables there for years for my daytime use.........Paul Martin

Batman,

Totally off subject here and not trying to hijack the post but thank you for reminding me to order cPap supplies. I've been forgetting to do that for over a month now.

No problem, amazing how one thing can remind us to do something we have been putting off. New to the CPAP stuff and almost immediately I went back to the sleep doc and asked for a mask. Than discovered my very nice pillow did not work well with the mask and causing neck problems and I happened to see a cpap pillow and figured what the hell if it works, it will be better than waking up to a sore neck.

That is one I never tried, and there are not too many on that list any longer. I did try the PM version, but recall they were very stiff and marginally better then Depends, never got again. :( Puffy

Even though they seem to be a little on the big side which could also be the reason they seem bulky, they work well. So for now I using the size that I can use the straps for bed time use.
