Ah, yes, that "lazy" lable that is so easy for a continent person to throw around. I wrote a long post on urge incon and so won't belabor the points made there, but when some of us can make it to the bathroom some of the time, others (often our spouses or significant others) think there is a lazy aspect to when we "resort" to diapers.

And that pressure is not good since it leads us to shun the diaper and risk embarassment. It would seem that the spouse would / should be more supportative of wearing protection as opposed to dealing with the consequence of an accidental wetting incindent.

It seems irrational that there are some who are damned if they do and damned if they don't.....wear a diaper.

My 2 cents!

Jane came over last night for awhile her husband dropped her and the kids off he had to go to town. We had a nice talk. When he came back to pick her up he came in and said so you two PLASTIC BUTTS HAVE A GOOD TALK  I think he was trying to be funny but I for one didn't find much humor in it. Jane laid into him when they got outside. I have a feeling that may have been a cold ride home................Sandy

Sandy,
I would never say something like that no matter how well I knew the other person. That was completely inappropriate of him. It was a good thing your husband didn't hear that remark. I'm sure he would have said a few words to Jane's husband.
Let Jane know you two will stick together and just put his remark out of mind. He really needs to apologize to both of you! .......Paul Martin

Talked to Jane last night She had another disturbing story. Her Husband and her went with some friends last night to town. Jane asked her husband if they could stop some place so she could use a restroom. And he blurted out why not just use your diaper you would any other time  She said there was a stun silence in the car then followed by her friend saying do you wear diapers :?: (at this point I think I would have caused some sort of physical harm to her husband) I told her she should have told her friend yes I get really bad periods  Well anyway Jane said her and her husband are not speaking right now or were going to be sleeping in the same bed last night. The more I'm around this guy the more I find a distaste for him :x. I thought he was alright at first :?: Sandy

Sandy,
I can't believe Jane's husband can be so insensitive and make that type of comment. How long has they been married? She needs to have a long talk to correct his mannors. If I were Jane, I'd make his life miserable for a long while!
Oh by the way, that was a great line about a really heavy period to help cover for her diaper. But knowing her husband, he would have made a comment that she wets her diaper like a baby. That really burns me up! Sandy, you're going to be a great help for her. She's going to need your support and advise for a while. Keep up the good work! ......Paul Martin

I forget how long they have been married I think it's around 6 years or at least 3 kids :?: I'm really at a lost as to what to say to him or her and how to deal with him. Talk about disrespectful I'm sure with this guy shooting his mouth off the fact that Jane and I wear diapers may as well be in neon around the area we live :? Jane also told me there has been times that he gave her a hard time in front of family and other friends as well about her condition. It's almost as if in some strange way he thinks by embarrassing her she will get cured :?: .......................Sandy

Sandy,
You came into Jane's life for a reason. If I were her, you would be a godsend! Like I said in my earlier post, Jane will need your support and a friend to trust with her problems. You're doing a great job now.
Hopefully, Jane's husband will come around and maybe your husband can keep working with him to be more understanding with his wife.
If Jane's husband is telling on her to shame her to cure herself, he's going to lose her in the end.
Sandy, watch after her and continue to be around for her. I know you will! ...........Paul Martin

My husband wants to talk to Jane's husband but at the same time he's not sure what good it will do :? I think for one he wants to talk to him about respect for a lady. Not to mention how a husband should treat a wife. Jane is a very soft and gentle woman yet she does have a strong side. But in talking to her my Husband and I can both see the hurt in her.

Jane in her condition is like I use to be years ago. She has some control if she can get to a bathroom in time. She seems to suffer from stress and urge incontinence mainly. or if she does try to hold it in to long. She will uncontrollably flood like it or not :( The few times I've been out with her she seems to have about a three to five min. window to get to a restroom when she gets a sensation that she needs to go.................. :) Sandy

Sandy,
Sounds like you're getting to know her quite well. The way you speak of your husband, I'll bet he can find a way to persuade Jane's husband to be more patient with his wife's incontinence. Your husband is just a real gem.
We'll have to have faith he can talk some since into Jane's husband. ...Paul Martin

I've been wearing the Depends during the day I got from Jane when I'm not wearing cloth. I found that if I use a tranquility full length contoured booster pad the depends aren't so bad I've even gone so far as to add an extra Maxi size booster in the crotch area as well. Granted I've at least doubled the capacity. But doing this I can get a comfortable 4 or more hours out of a brief.

I really hate to admit it but I don't mine these briefs that much. They are a little on the small size for a medium but they seem to fit pretty good over all. And like I said I do like the Waist Band. But without the extra boosters they're pretty much worthless.

Would I go out and buy these NO. Unless I got a screaming deal on Ebay I might. But when you need to put the extra boosters in you may as well wear something that already has the proper amount of protection built into it. I'm certainly not saving anything $$$ by adding the boosters to the diaper. But whatever works..................... :) Sandy
