Sandy,
You're doing a great job with this friend. Those Tensa Ultra's are good. I'm off those for a while until they get their sticking problem fixed.
You're advise is helping out so many! Keep it up! ................Paul Martin

I just want to also say that I think you are doing a wonderful job helping out other people. Its a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone else out that also has our "problem".

Keep up the great work. :D

My new friend Jane that works at the gas station was over again. She offered me a trade for several packs of depends briefs for some Tena's ultras. To be honest I could care less about depends. But then I've been avoiding the cloth like diapers because I've been getting rub rashes on the inside of my legs. So I agreed to trade :?

Let me tell you Jane got the good end of that deal. I forgot what depend were like :( They have changed since I last wore them. I do like the elastic waist band the tapes hold good. But the protection is lacking also for mediums they are really small. The bottom tapes just make it the top ones and the middle ones are OK but don't leave much. Also they are allot lower on the waist then I remember. Which isn't really a bad thing. The plastic seems to be quieter then the old ones I hated so much. I've worn a couple of them around the house and found that about 3 hours is tops before I risk a leak.

Then again I put one on this morning ended up flooding about an hour later and leaked down both legs  If your wondering about the cloth diapers I'm washing today.

Anyone that thinks depends are the way to go really need to get out more. If it wasn't for all the advertising that they do or have done I doubt any one would buy them. Like my husband says about Pennzoil if you advertise something enough no matter how bad of a product it is it will sell. Just look at Hollywood they do it all the time.......... :) Sandy :)

Sandy,
Welcome back to the forum. I heard you had a problem posting. Looks like Schoppy got the problem fixed. I'll bet you have a lot to get caught up with.
I do believe your new friend Jane got the better end of the deal too. I tried the depends a month ago, and they have got a little better, but the protection is really bad. I'll bet I would be changing twice as often if I wore those all the time.
My Tranquilitys are doing well that I switched to during the day. They are not quite as absorbant as the Tena Ultras, but atleast they won't leak with the pinholes I was getting with their new design.
I'm glad to be back in a plastic disposable again. They will make a little bit more noice, but I can live with it. It didn't take long for my wife to notice the slight crinkle from under my pants. You just can't hear it at my office. But at our quiet home, you can. Atleast with the kids out of the house, it doesn't really matter. Again, welcome back, Sandy!! .......Paul Martin

Paul are you using a booster with those if not try adding one like the Attends or Depends maxi size booster. You may be surprised at how much that will help......................Sandy

Sandy,
No I didn't use a booster. I still have some, though, after you convinced me to try them. I was using the depends in a sample pack from HDIS when I was looking for a new brand over Tena Ultra.
But you're right. A booster woud help tremendously! .....Paul Martin

Well I went out the other day with my young friend and her mother. We went to a craft show  (not my thing to do) They seem to enjoy it we went to a mall and they bought a few new outfits. I didn't see anything I liked.

While my young friend was trying some outfits on her mother and I were talking. She was telling me what an incredible impact I've made on her daughter. It's like she grew up ten years overnight. She use to feel somewhat uncomfortable with the way her daughter would dress or even handle herself in public. She was often dressed in ways that were revealing or lets say not real modest. Also she would act kind of flirty with the opposite sex

She told me since her daughter started spending time with me she has become a much more respectable person in general. I'd heard this before from her but again I really didn't know what to say. I said well your welcome :?: In away maybe she has helped me loosen me up a little as well. It is different being with someone that has as much of a age spread as her and I do. ...............................Sandy

Sandy,
Way to go girl! It's really great how you have touched her life. There are probably so many people out there who could use some help like you have given her. Keep it up! .....Paul Martin

Well Jane and her husband were over the other night again. Jane was relaying a problem to me dealing with incontinence and her husband rolled his eyes and said something like "well if you weren't so lazy" kind of under his breath I could see a look of hurt in Jane's eye :( I said to him that I've been there myself. And I've had the same thing said to me. It hurts when your accused of just being lazy when you can't help yourself. Especially when its from someone that you love and you look to for support. I had him on the spot but he's a stubborn one. I could tell he didn't want to admit it

Latter that night my husband got one on one with Jane's husband I'm not sure how much good it did. My husband said he seemed kind of nervous. and acted like he was just going along with what ever he said :?:

Sandy,
I was glad to hear your husband had a chance to speak with Jane's husband. I hope he listened to him. It's not fair on a person who suffers from incontience to have the hassle also of a unsupportive spouse.
I read a post on the yahoo site where a husband who suffers from incontinence from an accident back many years ago. He 's forced to wear a diaper especially at night. He's tired of fighting accidents so he's gone totally to a diaper at night. His wife, however, is uncomfortable of him in a diaper. His last post stated they have resorted to seporate bedrooms!
This really upsets me. I would never do that to my wife if she had to wear a diaper at night. My wife was not happy when my incontinece got so bad that I just wore a diaper to bed every night. But she realized I couldn't help it. She has no problem now. I don't wear anything except a T-Srirt and my diaper to bed every night. She sees me in a diaper every night and it doesn't bother her.
Sandy, we are both blessed to have a spouse that understands our need for a diaper and thinks nothing of it. I hope your husband can do some good, at least fort Jane's sake! ...........Paul Martin
