I thought this might make an good thread for here so I figured I would share. Last year I was looking for a live support group for incontinence in my area but to my dismay, there was nothing. It was suggested to me from several people that a group like that would be vary helpful so I took it on my self to try. Around May I made an email address and listed it in the local paper. I got about two responces that way and things kind of died out. A few months later I posted again but on craigslist and got a few more. Once I got a total of. Counting myself,I was going to start the next phase and set a meeting.
I am happy to say we had our first meeting this week and I can not express how happy and excited I am. These online forums are great and have helped so much but to sit in a room with others with the same problem was awesome. For the first time since I became incontinentI did not feel alone. I would highly recommended everyone to seek out a live support group in there area. Again, not to take away from online forums like this one which provide such a great sevice, to talk to someone while being able to look in there eyes is priceless.

Good on ya Rope, it takes a lot to talk to someone, but it really is helpful, and setting it up and getting organized was not something you had to do, but chose to do, so my hat is off to you! I have never talked openly face-to-face with anyone else you also struggles with this kind of problem, but would give it a shot if there was a group around here, but from what I have looked at there isn't one in existance, I am not in the position mentally or timewise to take it on, but good for you for doing so! :D Puffy

Try posting signs about your support group by local doctors and clinics, particularly urologists and dermatologists. They get a higher percentage on incons than you have in the general population. If you call the receptionist you might be able to email her your sign and have her hang it up.
If anyone creative can come up with good ideas for signs about a support group I'm sure it will be appreciated.
