By the time I got off my flight home this evening, it certainly felt like I did.
Thank goodness for high capacity diapers.

Hi All
I wear MoliCare® Premium Slip maxi with booster pad, compression pants, waterproof cover and onesie. I ensure that top tapes are tightly angled down and bottom tightly angled up. I always unpack diapers to alow them to expand and breathe to maximum capacity and fold them so that a channel is created and my bits are pointing down into the channel. When I first started wearing I did have leaks until I worked out how to fit diapers to my body and a solution that works for me. I still use a waterproof mattress protector though for extra reassurance.

Congrats on taping while standing. Take a few days to improve your technique, as the small things matter. Try experimenting with the angle of the tapes. The best angle will be determined by the fit of the diaper and the size of the diaper with regard to how far the wings come around your hips.

Wow I leave the discussion and the hole thing blows up into a three pager...HEHE...
I have been taping standing for the last two night and it is working great. I grew up using that system as I shared a room with my brother and would never change in front of him even though he knew. After I got my own room at 18 I would still use the wall method. Over the years I got lazy and started changing in bed. I use to be better at it but like tonight I am up late and it will be later still before I get to bed so that has added to it. All in all I think due to my new mattress I might have to stay with the wall method unless I am very sure I got a good fit.

Re the 95 oz of maximum useable capacity in the XP Medical tests, none of us will come near that.

It is an artificial test, but more accurate than the ISO "dip and weigh" test. I would expect to get no more than 50% of the so-called "maximum useable capacity. However, it is good to compare different diapers. Anyway, for practicality who walks around with two quarts of pee in their diaper?

I did a wet verse dry test last month to see what my output at night was. In one sleep cycle my output was 48oz or 1.4 liters of liquid so half the capacity of a comfy dry. For me at night I feel it is better to have more capacity than I need rather than need more than I have.

Last night I wore a confidry, pul pants, and slept on 2 bed pads. The confidry held up to 2 wettings and my pul pants are still dry. Not sure what was different except I pulled the diaper super tight at the legs

Agree. My urge incon is gushes. One accident I could lose 3oz or urine. Next accident I could lose 13oz at once. I'm very reluctant to even try a diaper without leak guards.
I definitely agree with your capacity comments too. I think the only way to get closer to that max usable capacity is if you sleep on your back and actually urinate that much at night. Maybe bedridden people? When I sleep on my back I'm much less likely to leak and much more of that back padding gets used. Standing/stitting, much of the urine is concentrated in the front and down into the crotch area which is the area most vulnerable to a leak if there aren't leak guards and/or you don't get a really good seal with the leg gathers.

I've had it. The last 5 confidrys have leaked on me. One so bad it came through the leg hole on my pul pants and onto my bed. And I was just sitting down!
I'm selling them on Craigslist and using the money to order something else. I don't know what yet but confidrys suck

I think it depends on your body shape. I really don't have too many problems out of the 24/7. They are the only diaper I use. I've tried several. Abena leaked on me at night. So did molicare super plus. I'm a very heavy wetter. I use the 24/7 with an abri-let booster pad and PUL cover. I rarely have leaks. They are good for bowel containment too. As far as the tapes go, once I put it on, I don't undo the tapes unless the diaper needs to be changed. I really don't think they are refastenable. So once it's on, it stays on until it's pretty wet or soiled. One diaper can last me about 6 hours. I generally have no issues as long as I'm not taking it on and off.

Well I definitely don't have the shape for confidry. The last leak was so catastrophic that had I been in public my pants would have been soaked. I have half a case plus some of a+ that I can use. I'm gonna try abena plastic backed next.
