Hello,
It is my understanding that in order to protect the best, any brief a person wears should fit snugly. What is a good rule of thumb for that? I mean, I used to buy Absorbency Plus in size Medium, but I went with Size regular recently beceause it seemed whenever i tried to apply a new diaper, with the medium the tabs came off in my hand. The wings seemed to be almost streched to their limit. I decided to try going up a size to size regular. I no longer have the tape ripping issue but now it seems that the diaper might not be as snug as the size medium. The waist seems a bit looser. I actually remember making the same post about the gapping issue on size regular. Of course, the main goal with ANY adult brief is to make sure the user is both comfortable as possible, and the product does not leak.. after all, that is the whole point of wearing an adult diaper...
So, right now I consider a good rule of thumb to be a good seal at the leg holes, where there is no gaps in between the inner thigh/groin and the diaper. Gaps at the waist are less important, unless I happen to be sitting. In which case, padding coverage is keyand the padding needs to be in contact with the skin.
Now, I also have questions about taping techinques. I realize that JD in his white paper advises to tape certian tapes at a certian angle. With my poor fine motor skills. I don't know if I am capable of such a refined techinique. I simply make sure the diaper is flat and pulled taught against my sking and i tape on.. not really paying attention to the angle of the tape.. and I do my best to make sure the diaepr fits snug as posible. Is this adequate, or should i refine my taping technique?
The good news is, other than last June, I have not had a premium brand diaper fail on me yet..so i must be doing something right with my taping techinques.
Any and all input on how to get good taping techinques with limited hand dexterity would be appreciated!
Peace out!
Rob
