It has been a little while since I’ve posted, but I am coming back hoping that I can get some suggestions. As a recap, I am 31 and I’ve been dealing with urinary incontinence in some capacity since I was little. Similar to many here, I have dealt with it through various forms of protection and throughout the years I moved from pull-ups to tape on briefs as my leaks increased in frequency and volume. In addition to the urinary incontinence, I’ve also had pretty bad IBS since I was 10, which took years of tests and several gastroenterologists to diagnose. In 2016, I spent about a week in the hospital with severe abdominal pain before eventually having to have my gallbladder removed. The surgery brought on rapid gastric emptying (i.e. dumping syndrome) which unfortunately stuck around as a permanent gift. Between the IBS and the dumping syndrome, I've had my fair share of bowel urgency and accidents, although I can usually manage it through daily medication, diet, and timed meals. I am thankful that bowel accidents are not an every day occurrence as I have read the toll that dealing with them on a daily basis can take.

As for my urinary symptoms, I’ve got problems at night and during the day so most of the time I’m in a tab style diaper. I have found that the Better Dry briefs work well for me overnight, but they tend to swell too much to be comfortable during the day, so I’ll usually only wear them on a really bad day or if I am having an IBS flare-up and the chances of a bowel accident are higher. I have tried many briefs for daytime use (Abena M4, NS Supreme Lite, NS Supreme, and MegaMax to name a few) but I still haven't found one that completely fits. I have defaulted to NS Supreme briefs for the last couple of months because they have a good amount of absorbency and I can usually go all day in just two briefs. I really wanted to like the MegaMax because of all of its features, but unfortunately they just don't fit my body shape right and I cannot get them tight enough at the legs to avoid leaks. I am a size medium and I have even tried bumping down to a small since I heard they run on the bigger side, but still found no luck. So, I am looking for a tab style brief (diaper) with the absorbency of the NS Supreme, but with a higher rise in the padding up front. If anyone has any suggestions as to something that may fit this bill, then I would be very grateful for the advice. I have never had anything but a positive experience on this forum and although I have not posted in a while, I still appreciate all of the posts and seeing the advice and support given around here. The only other super premium brief that comes to mind is the ComfiDry 24/7. I have had great luck with them but all of mine are older stock and I understand that they have made some changes that have affected the performance. Nonetheless you may still want to try them for yourself and see if they will fit you correctly. There may also be some AB/DL diapers that are in the super premium class but I have no experience with any of them.

Have you experimented with washable protection at night? Although the initial outlay is steep, properly fitted and pinned, cloth can provide nearly fool-proof nighttime protection. Welcome back; good luck and keep us informed.

I wear Betterdry diapers 24/7 they are a bit thicker but with dark pants once size up and a plain coloured onesie to help keep it inplace and more importantly stop the exposure when my shirt rides up when I bend or stretch no one has noticed and I have the protection I need in a diaper I can trust to do its job.

I have the same frustration about front protection with all of those brands you mentioned. I feel like the NS Supreme is shorter in the front than Abena 4 series.

So, one tip I got from a blog on Carewell.com's website is to put a small booster pad crosswise at the top, just under the waistband, like a T. This seems to work pretty good for me.

I have a similar problem with getting a good seal around the legs when I try to size up. I'm tall and skinny, long mid section.

Nappied, urinary incontinent only 24/7. Favourite napppy - Tena Slip Maxi but also wear Abena Abri-Form.

With my skinny thighs, tiny waist, semi flat butt, but wide hips, I’ve had my share of problems getting a disposable to fit comfortably. If it weren’t for my wide hips, I could easily fit into a small Supreme, Abena, …. but the tapes are simply too close to the end of the wings. A medium puts the tapes very close together at the front and likewise with the lower tapes, which also comes quite high on my waist. Sometimes I roll the front of the diaper down a few inches to hide the top, depending on the clothes I’m wearing.
It’s the same thing with pull-ups. I nearly always need a support brief.
Cloth diapers are much easier to fit comfortably. Simply pin snuggly for waist and thigh comfort. Plastic pants are sometimes a bit tricky but the urethane (Euroflex) pants fit very well. Of course, cloth diapers are worn with my fuller dresses and skirts, which are my normal daytime wardrobe. I’m in cloth 80-90% of the time, but disposables definitely have their place for me.

to get a higher rise have you tried going up in size this should also give a person better taping area also did for me any way

Personally I wear Northshore Supremes day and night. They do the job and fit me well. I've also used better dry's, Dry/247's Abena's but Northshore Supreme's seem to work for me. I also keep on hand Northshore Supreme Lites and their Go-Supremes on hand as well as pads.

I kind of hate this, I'm 38/M. I watch myself taping up a diaper in the bathroom mirror each morning.

I think we can all understand the viewing aspect of changing. Perhaps it's best to put something over the mirror if it helps. Or perhaps some other poster encouragement. But being older doesn't make it any easier in that respect.
