So the lady came and left. They didn't put in my chart that I have a cat. And she was allergic to cats. So now I wait to be assigned to someone new. Sigh.

Accepting needing help is a big step! I think it will feel like a relief in the long run and will release you from a big weight on your shoulders. Sorry the first lady did not work out. Did they find a replacement yet?

Yea my new permanent aide started yesterday. She's real cool. I'll have another one for the weekends but I haven't met her yet. Its been suggested that I have 24 hour care after my surgery so my aide is going to put that request in.

justej,

How did the diaper i sent you perform? Curious to know how you liked it. I recommend getting a diaper pail because you will need it. You can find them here: https://www.adultclothdiaper.com/Cloth-Diaper-Pail

The inventory im selling you will get you started, but its important not to over wash them. Many diapering advocates recommend having a larger stassh and rotating the ones you use. Also id wash every 3 days to avoid your house smelling like urine. Your plan to use half disposables and half cloth is a smart one for your current situation. Given that you have coin laundry, it makes sense.

If you have any questions about the diapers just ask. Ive worn them for a year and can pretty much tell you my expereinces with them.
By teh way, the company iis making bigger diapers.. and the owner offered to let me be her guinea pig to test the new extended size velcor diaper. The design is improved over what I am selling you. I will let you know what I think once i get my hands on them. it wont be until the 3rd, because thats when i will have the money to buy an order and thus get sent the test diaper.
Thank you for buying my inventory by the way. IT has served me well but it just doesnt fit comfortably anymore.

Peace out!

Rob

Hi Rob!
It worked out well. I have a plastic tub I was going to use. Thanks for the tip on washing every 3 days. I too think mixing cloth with disposables is going to be good. Definitely keep me informed on the larger size. The one you gave me works, but I'd still be interested to see how the larger one does. Thanks for helping me out!

Justej,

I sent you a pm about this but ill also put it here just in case you see this first. DO NOT use creams containing petrolatum while wearing pockt diapers. it will severely affect the absorbency. Instead, use creams like calmoseptine. I will find and post a list of cloth diaper friendly rash creams.

And your'e so welcome. I'm honored to be able to help a friend in need. I know if our situations were reversed you would do the same for me. If i could afford to id give you the lot for free.. but then I wouldnt have anything for myself. Will definetly keep you apprised on how i like the extended diaper.
Peace out!

this will give you a list of what creams you can and can't use with cloth. it does say with the creams that are non cloth friendly you can use a liner but really with your tight budget i woudlnt recommend trying to buy liners for your diapers. Just stick to using non petrolatum rash cream.

Peace out!

Rob

Both the creams you mention fall into need liner category. I suppose if you wanted to you could buy infant cloth diapers.. that would probably serve that purpose well enough.
