I agree with your conclusions. I think the names should be rather neutral, and that if AB/DL is part of your life, it should be expressed on a more dedicated site. Not here. I also agree that this is a medical site, focused on providing advise to those who, for whatever reason, are having to cope with these issues.
I hope that you press on, insisting that your standards are well kept.

Thanks RoadPirate, but my goal is not my standards but hopefully our standards.

I like the fact this site is focused on helping all of us who are dealing with medical issues that are causing our incontinence issues.

Ive been watching this topic to see what other members on our forum think of this site.
I will NOT allow this site to be turned into an ab/dl site so dont worry about that.
This site was made to help people of any and all types of incontinence.
When this site was set up, there was very little help out there for people that are incontinent.
In fact, there was very little of anything on the internet, it just wasnt that big back then.
I still have a "yellow pages book" that had all the internet websites listed.
Now there is no way to list all of the different types of web sites out there.

I understand that there are some that are also into the ab/dl lifestyle as a way to cope with being incontinent,
that is entirely up to them but I do not want it on this forum.
There are a lot of other sites that would be better for that type of conversation.

As far as using names on the forum, I agree that a more neutral name will be better to use.
People can use either a nickname or their real name. This site was set up that way. People can remain anonymous that way.
I personally dont like any "baby/abdl" names used on this site, altho there are some on here that do use it they dont post very often.

Also I just want to mention that we do NOT collect personal info so there is no way that info could ever be used against anyone or sold.

Ok, ill step off my box and crawl back into the shadows and see what other people think.

Personally I just browsed the internet, eventually I got comfortable enough on another site to join it, there I eventually found JDinVirginia and eventually felt comfortable enough to talk to him and became friends and after a while he had pressed me to join. And I'm truly glad I did. Thank you so much for all you've done for me JD!

Thank you to all that have chimed in with thoughts and suggestions. It seems to be a general consensus that the screen names topic leans to neutral names(thanks JD, great way to discrib it). When someone signs up, we see the name they picked so what will be the best thing is to shoot than an email asking them to change it and maybe make a suggestion or two. As for the abdl topics, again it seems to be the consensus that we want to keep that stuff out of this forum. That being said, I also understand that some out there turn to the abdl world as a way to cope with being incontinent and I have no problem with that. Where it becomes a problem is where it keeps coming up in that users postings. Best example of this were some of the post B Brian had made. He was quite open to that fact and it kept being an issue. It started with his original name(Baby Brian), which he changed when it was becoming a problem, and then to his signature where again he referenced the fetish and it finally came to a head when he tried to defend and justify it. We were very tolerant and patient but he chose to continue to push the envelope.
If someone is abdl, it would be best if they just keep that part to themselves but most importantly, actually be incontinent to some degree. Above all else, this is a forum for medically incontinent people. We want to and will strive to keep it that way.

I recomend thinking twice regarding people like B Brian. He did go over the line from time to time, but he wasn't someone like diapered Mommy [AKA Trufit girl] who seems to have come here exclusivly to persue an ABDL agenda. For the most part he tried to keep to the spirit of this site, and was from the better members regarding his good comments. Maybe we should adopt a policy of rejecting sin but not the sinners, by having the moderaters simply deleting the times he crosses the line. Chances are, after a few times he will learn himself where the line is.

Thanks for you thoughts Vandel. Just wanted to take a few moments to reply and say my part. As far as banning Brian, he did get second thoughts. As a matter of fact he got second, third, forth thoughts ect, ect. I don't think anyone here is looking for people to kick out of the group. That is not the point of he group. What is the point is to create a space, different then most other places on the net where those suffering from incontinence can come to for information and support. There is absolutely no benefit or support to pointing out you wear for fun and/or why. In fact this is what makes a lot of people uncomfortable and unwilling to open up. Granted, a lot of the people here are thicker skin enough to look past this behavior and move on but my concerns are not for those members. Those members have gotten the benefit of the forum and are now at a place where they are not emotionally effected as bad as I assume they once were. My attention are for the newer members that have not gotten to that point yet and may feel like they are drowning in a sea of that world because they can not escape it.
As for just deleting any questionable post, me personally feel if I leave the post so others can read for themselves what is across the line will act as a deterrent to any others thinking along the same lines. This way I won't have to keep pointing out to people what has crossed the line. Another benefit is members will see we are serious about keeping incontinentsupport.org exactly what it is and keep reassuring them this is a site dedicated to medical incontinence only.

Hi Rope_Wrench

Having Incontinence is life changing having a strict medical forum were we are all coping with this is so great. Loved ones can only go so far the people here live with all that goes with this medical condition. Having found a place to vent, acceptance of ones anger, or seek advice has helped me so much if not to post just to have comfort from reading others posts.

Long may this place continue so glad I found it!

Because my incontinence problem is a result from sexual abuse, I am very sensitive to the wrong attention to my diapers.
This is the only forum I am comfortable in. I have not been really active for a while, partly because of b brian. Sorry to say it...

Well he is gone so welcome back. Just an FYI, if you feel like that again, please message me. I'll be more then happy to look into things and take care of any issues that keep good people away.
