Dallasinc,

I agree with Hotdogg that you are managing things fairly well. :D However, if you are a heavy wetter, as I am, you always can add a booster pad to your diaper for additional absorbency. It takes time to build up confidence in your diaper and to learn how to judge when you are close to leaking.

Do your diapers have internal standing leak guards? They are not just for bowel incontinence. They also help keep urine in the main channel of the diaper and away from the leg gathers while the absorbent mat has time to absorb the pee. That is a big help for those of us who "flood" our diapers.

Yeah, the diapers I'm using are the Supreme Lite briefs from Northshore. They work pretty well, the only time I really have a leak is when I flood a diaper that's already wet from the little leaks I also deal with throughout the day. I do add a booster pad at night and I have tried adding one during the day but it makes the diaper fit a bit off so I'm thinking of looking for another diaper (open to suggestions). This is quite a stressful process, but I suppose it takes time to get used to all of this. It is nice having other people to talk to that know the struggles. Thanks for the advice John and Hotdogg

Managing incontinence is a trial and error process. Finding what works for you always includes finding what does not work for you first. But keep working at it. Try different brands, and cloth too, if this promises to become a lengthy process or permanent situation.
