Mentally and physically?

Hi all,
In an effort to cut costs, i am considering the use of the Abena pads, specifically X-Plus. Has anyone tried these, and used them successfully? One advantage that I can see is the fact that there are no tapes that might pop when i pull the diaper down to use the toilet.
Peace out!

I haven't used the Abena pads extensively, but I do have some experience. I bought the fixing pants and a sample pack of sizes (when XP still did sample packs) when I was trying to find a product that didn't fall apart while mountain biking. I recall liking a smaller cut of the pad for biking and it worked well. The X-plus size is literally the same size padding as an X-plus diaper. All the pads have standing leak guards. The only weakness they might have is wetting while sitting. They'll be like a diaper with breathable sides in that, if they do start to leak out the back leg holes (or back of the pad) while sitting, the leak will be more catastrophic than the half-moon spots of an all-plastic diaper. The wetness is free to wick everywhere. Basically, be careful to not let these get close to capacity while sitting.
Otherwise, the product was fine, but I didn't stick with it because I didn't like keeping up with the (admittedly minimal) laundry.

I'm using the abriflex pullups at work under a uniform. I much prefer the security of a diaper but a diaper doesn't work real well with the uniform. These things are super absorbent. I pretty much always make the toilet but have had some fairly significant accidents in them and they hold up surprisingly well. If you're going to wear a pullup, this is the one!!

My incontinence has always been too severe for me to consider pads. It's always had to be full tapped diapers for me.

I tried those for 6 months once. I was stubbornly refusing to admit I needed diapers, so I used everything but diapers. Life is easier now.

i use duct tape around my diaper to re enforce the tapes, it helps keep the diaper more snug but still allows me to pull down the diaper and use the washroom and pull it back up afterwords,
I find the diaper never fits as well aftere being pulled doen and up even once so I try to avoid reusing when out and about but at home its ok as if I leak I am able to deal with it with out the embarrassment.

I used to use these. The problem with them is that they don't have an adhesive strip, so they will shift and bunch inside the fixing pants (even when snug). As a result, they can become uncomfortable and leak. I found that the Size 11 pad was less discreet than a full X-plus diaper as the pad tended to silhouette through my pants while the padding of an X-plus diaper did not. I ended up switching to diapers and PUL covers, and I wear the fixing pants over the PUL cover to smooth out the lines and keep the diaper snug.
