Mentally and physically?

Hey,
I just got off the phone with Liberator medical.. the reason they sent the comdom catheters was because mens libery was considered a specialty item and used a different prescription code. So they have to contact my urologist again. I said, ok, in the meant time can I use the condom catheters you already sent me? They said yes. So, i put one on, connected the leg bag, and hydrated myself to test it to see how it holds up. At first it did well.. but when i put on a pair of undies over the condom catheter.. and had a wetting.. i had a catastrophic leak. Maybe the tube got disconnected somehow, i dont know I don't think it did, but my undewear had a big wet spot right in the middle. NOPE. Not going to use these. Not going to risk the humilaiton of them failing on me like this. I'll stick to diapers until my shipment arrives, thank you very much...
Peace out!

And that is the difference between a cheap brand and one that actually works. It's no different with diapers, yet those insurance companies just can't seem to see that too.

I figured out why it leaked.. I tried it agiain and held my penis pointed up to test a theroy that the leak was due to it not pointing down. Sure eoungh it leaked. It seems that the condom catheter is only effective if the penis is pointed down, which is next to useless, since as we all know, penis positon can vary from minute to minute, especially when wearing briefs, which tend to point the penis up. So, until I get the men's liberty, ill stick to diapers.
Peace out!

Although a short list of urologists tried to convince me to use external catheters over the years, my experience was no better than yours. My most memorable accidents involved external catheters that failed.

I was able to make condom catheters work, but only after a lot of trial and error. I had to stop because of my need to intermittent catheterize. I must admit that condom catheters can be a lot of work. I never got over the fear of having a catastrophic failure and dumping a pint of urine onto the floor.

JD,
That is just what happened to me, twice. 'Nuff said.
