Great thread incontinence itself is most defiantly not a fate worse than death far from it. What is a fate worse than death is the social stigma of loosing control and wearing diapers and the unkind comments that is sometimes directed our way as a result. It is like Men wearing skirts the same applies. The more society is exposed to our problems and the associated education this starts in School classroom. Look at the hard work the LGBT community has made over the years in the UK marriage is now allowed what ever ones views are about this large parts of society take it as fact now and accept this. UK Schools are now starting to allow Boys to wear skirts to make gender neutral uniform policy. This concept should apply to diapers and incontinence and one day society will accept and embrace our condition.

I've never been the confrontational type, but Heaven help the poor fool that ever tries to make fun of, or humiliate me or anyone else in my presence. There are appropriate times and places for a- shall we say- 'assertive' response to this kind of behavior; this is one of those rare occasions.

one possiblilty for the reason insurance doesn't cover diapers is the availability of items like the external catheter, foley catheter, and hte like. Men's liberty included.. and those are covered by insurance.. But, a lot of people dont want to use them because of the adhesive or risk of infection.. I'm willing to give liberty an extended shot.. it was fairly comfortable.. i'll let you know how I fare.. the package should be here tomorrow

Just asking: doesn't inserting the catheter hurt? Or do they have adhesive strips at the mouth of the tube, so that it's not necessary to stick the tube up the urethra? 'Cos I'd never be able to do that. (Have never had a catheter, so don't really know).

External catheters don't get inserted. Think of them like a cup or condom with a tube at the bottom. It is also flexible and sticky so it it will stick to the skin enough to prevent leaks. Your pee drains through the tube, and I to a collection bag you can empty.

At least that's how it's supposed to work. Most of the time it comes unglued thanks to the many, minor, arousals we get throughout the day (not even full erections). They also tend to pull on hairs and pinch a little too. And finally, they cause minor rashes quite often. Or at least that has been my experience with them.

Oh for God's sake! Wearing padding between my legs or dying? It is embarrassing to an extent and occasionally uncomfortable. But I am still able to do EVERYTHING that I could do before my badder went haywire. Those folks need to drop their testosterone level some.
